Dealer sold me a car with an engine light on and it stopped driving so I called the dealer and they towed my car. After a week of calling them and getting excuses I went into the store and they finally told me the engine blew. They refunded my money 3 days later. I’ve also told them I had belongings in the car the day I found out my engine blew. It’s been almost 5 days already and I’m still having trouble getting my belongings. The dealer also didn’t give me a paper stating I no longer owe the bank that borrowed me money for a car.Initial Complaint

Car dealer purposely failed to disclose that the 2007 Ford F150 King Ranch I financed from them in January 2022 has a rotted frame, knowing that a frame is hidden from view, and not always easy to spot frame damage, which is committing fraud. They sold me a vehicle knowing it isn't safe to drive. The vehicle is a structural loss because it presents risk to passengers and others. On 11/25 the muffler fell off after coming out of the car wash, vehicle was towed to Toledo Auto Care and they found that the frame is rotted and is undriveable and not able to be towed.Business response

Ms ****** purchased this vehicle on 1/15 of last year. The vehicle passed the Autocheck of the lender , CAC, and the customer test drove and checked out the vehicle before purchase.
In addition, we provided a warranty for the vehicle. We do not have any frame equipment or body shop at our dealership to handle such warranty or repair work.Initial Complaint

The 2004 GMC Sierra was sold in October as a cash only as-is sale.
These sales carry no warranty and the vehicle is checked out and approved by the customer.
The amount was around 2500 and paid in full by the customer.
As-is sales carry no implied warranty and this was explained to the customer and verified by sale paperwork.
A car being sold “as is" is being sold without a warranty. That means that any problem with the car is no longer the responsibility of the dealer or private seller once it has been sold. All repair costs will come directly out of pocket for the buyer.
