Unprofessional team (***** specifically) - will be aggressive and harass you if you have any concerns. My personal experience included having multiple delays with gutter installment and gutter cover installment post roof installation. When this was brought up, issues of slander and potential legal action were threatened upon me. Tread lightly win speaking and doing business with this company, especially *****. Direct service was fine and roof installation was done well. Concerns are with the customer service and conservation with representative.

      Dayton Roofing Solutions. LLC Response

      04/08/2023

This customer was under contract for a roof installation covered by homeowners insurance. The contract was signed on 1-10-23 which covered a tear off and reinstall of a new roof. The customer was extremally happy with the new roof and ***** brought the customer a bottle of wine and toys for the customers kids when the roof was completed. The customer wrote a lengthy 5 star Google review of his experience with Dayton Roofing. The customer inquired about replacing a 20 ft run of gutters along with gutter guards on the house. A contract was sent to the customer on 1-8-23 and as to date of 4-8-23 the contract has not been signed by the customer. Not withstanding the customer not signing the contract, the amount of work was small and I as the owner was comfortable moving forward with the work. The first gutter was installed by two of our newer employees sometime in the beginning to middle of March 2023. The fascia board was rotten and my less experienced crew had trouble leveling the gutters. I sent out my experienced gutter crew during the last week of March to rehang the 20 ft run of gutters on the customers home. We were set to install gutters guards on the customers home on either 4-7 or 4-8-23. The customers complaint stating "will be aggressive and harass you if you have concerns," is completely false. On 4-7-23 when the customer was contacted, by ***** to tell them the crews would not be out on 4-7-23 but rather 4-8-23, the customer claimed that several weeks after his gutter was installed the first time his home in ********* Ohio was broken into. The customer made several accusations both vague and direct that indicated blaming our employees for his house break in merely because they were there a few weeks earlier. There is no bases or evidence for the customers ridiculous claim, his only reasoning for blaming Dayton Roofing is that we worked on his home a few weeks earlier. It goes without saying that no Dayton Roofing employee ever went back out to this customers property other then to work and this claim is unsupported by anything factual. The customer threatened to change his google review, file a BBB complaint and get "other people involved." This statement, by the customer, is why we conveyed to the customer of potential legal action if the customer posted fake reviews and baseless accusations, not about gutter installation as the customer claims. The customer was acting irrational and at that point as all of our contractual work had been completed, Dayton Roofing decided to discontinue any future work with this customer. We have elected not to charge the customer for any additional work already completed and we simply do not wish to do any more business with this customer. The customer's irrational behavior and accusations made for a serious liability issue having any of Dayton Roofing's employees on site any more. We were a bit perplexed as the customer would accuse our employee's of breaking into his house and in the very next sentence inquire about when his gutter guards would be installed. I feel if the customer had any ligament thoughts it was truly an employee of our company he would not want them back on his property. As we do imagine that having your house broken into is both traumatizing and emotional, and we are sympathetic to that, to aggressively blame this on our company and threaten defamation simply because a crew was at the house two weeks prior is not logical. We do wish this customer the best of luck and all of our contractual work performed will be warrantied.
