Additional Information for Carolyn Corgis

UPDATE 3: February 2023, BBB received a Scam Tracker report for Carolyn Corgis with a similar address as the previous named "companies" along with a new website, carolyncorgis.com, showing the same puppy photos, names, and ages from each previous website used. The consumer lost $800 for the "cost" of the puppy and was asked for $1490 for travel insurance or was told the puppy would be quarantined for 2 months.  

UPDATE 2: January 2023, BBB received a Scam Tracker report for Kathryn Corgis with the same address as Bethany Corgis and Caitlyn Corgis. Kathryncorgis.com shows the same puppies as the past two websites still up for adoption at the same ages. This consumer states the same scenario as before, "to buy a puppy had lots of text & emails. Paid $800 for puppy on Friday and then on Sunday they asked for an additional 1490.00 for travel insurance with travel company called happy tails pet travel."

UPDATE 1: August 2022, BBB received a Scam Tracker report for Caitlyn Corgis with the same address as Bethany Corgis. The consumer stated they were told the corgi was for sale for $650 plus $150 for shipping and instructed to use Zelle for payment. After payment was received, the consumer was told they would use Deltatransport to ship the puppy, but were then asked for $1250 for an air conditioned crate. In the end, no puppy or refund was received.

As of October 2022, the website Caitlyncorgis.com is no longer working and Petscams.com is reporting them as a scam.

June 2022, BBB received a Scam Tracker report for Bethany Corgis. The consumer stated they had found a "10 week old Male Corgi named Jess” on the website, bethanycorgis.com. Through texts and emails, they were instructed to pay $800 ($650 homing fees and $150 shipping) via Zelle, including screenshots of the payment. The consumer was given tracking information for the shipping company, Delta Tran Logistics. They were informed the delivery was pending due to an “insurance certification” and then needed a "G.A.C Approved Air conditioner Crate" fee.

Late June 2022, BBB received a complaint stating the consumer gave a deposit of $400 for the "10 week old puppy Jess." After an internet search, they found the same dog on another website and the BBB alert on Bethany Corgis. The consumers text and emailed the company requesting their deposit be returned. They received no response. The consumers never received a puppy, nor received a refund of money paid. The puppy "Jess" is still showing "for sale" on the website with all the same information including age.

BBB received a call from a consumer stating the address being used by Bethany Corgis is actually their residence. The couple stated they had attempted to purchase a puppy from the company in December 2020 and purport they lost $2000.00 in a paid deposit that was not returned after never receiving a puppy. Whois.com shows the website was just registered on May 3, 2022 for one year. BBB found several inconsistencies with the website. The homepage states “Our hounds have 24 hours a day access to the one acre-big securely fenced back yard via a dog door and they all live as one pack." According to Google maps, there is no one acre back yard, nor a fence. The website also states “In order to sever the needs of our customers in a committed way, we don’t charge any fee for shipping within USA and Canada." The customer reviews found on the website have misspellings; the wrong breed listed, and change names of consumers and number of dogs within the reviews. The pictures used have been taken from the internet either from stock photos or real people.
