I am a past customer of Rise and Grind. Loved the place, so much so I bought my coworkers all gift cards for Christmas. Spent over $80 and gifted the cards in Dec of 2021. Only to find out that the business started denying the unused gift cards less then 6 months later (the cards have no expiration date on them). They obtained new ownership which is when they started denying the cards. The new/current owners gave no notice, posting, or public announcement of this change prior to whenever it was put in place. They’ve denied lots of my friends gift cards as well. I’m extremely frustrated because I know of so much money that was spent by me and others that now cannot be salvaged or redeemed in any way. They don’t offer anything to make up for this issue. They just don’t accept the gift cards and don’t care to make it up to the customers.Business response

The business informed BBB that there was a change in ownership in March and the business is now using a ***************. The business will be happy to honor the gift cards as long as the consumer provides a receipt verifying the transaction.
