    According to BBB files this business has a pattern of complaint concerning down payments being accepted and then work not beginning on schedule, a lack of communication from the business, incomplete and incorrect work being performed, and as a result of the insufficient work customers are unable to receive billing adjustments/refunds from the business. Consumers state that the business accepts down payments and never begins work and that the business does not communicate with the consumer regarding delays. Consumers state that if work is started that it is incomplete or incorrect and that they cannot get the business to issue refunds/billing adjustments. Consumers indicate that they want a refund on down payment or billing adjustments. BBB sent a written notice to Maumee Valley Property Solutions identifying the potential pattern of complaint with a request for a business response. The business did not respond to BBB's request.

      The contractor did electrical work for me on a pool pump. He came highly recommended to me and he did excellent work. While he was there, he told me he was a **** of all trades. I asked him if he would be interested in rebuilding our waterfall stream, and fixing the sunken bricks on our pool patio. I asked him for a quote. Before he left on April 22nd, I gave him a check for the work done on the pool pump ($850), as well as a deposit for the rebuilding of the stream and pool patio (*****), which he promptly cashed the next day. After 3 weeks and not hearing anything from him, I texted him on May 14th and asked him to please give me a start date. He apologized for the delay and said he would be there on May 23rd and 24th to complete the job. His son showed up on the 23rd, ripped up the stream, and left me with a huge pile of dirt and rocks strewn all over the yard. Then, he never came back. It has been 4 months of going back and forth via texts and phone calls, and being given six additional start dates, with no shows and excuses for all of them. I have not been able to sleep since this all started. I am just sick inside. Do not give this man a deposit or a down payment for work not done. He is a thief and con artist. I want him to complete the work or refund my deposit of $*****.

      I hired MVP Services (***** ******) to handle all electrical and gas aspects of a pool install - per recommendation of my pool contractor. MVP has been paid in full as of 6/6/24, but did not finish the gas work. I had to hire a certified plumber to finish on 8/5/24. The owner of MVP lied throughout the project. His wife left town with his credit card, therefore I had to pay for the rental of an excavator. He lied about his last name! He lied about pulling permits - later pulling an electrical permit under an entirely different contractors name. We’re not sure his company is even licensed to do electric and gas plumbing. The biggest issue is items my wife and I paid for in full that we never received. On 6/21/24 we wrote a check for $6,250 for a fire bowl which included full payment of the item and partial payment for install and 6/26/24 a check was written for $3,220.00 for full payment of a gas grill. Both checks were cashed and we never received invoices. The grill, we were told, was already here in town and was at a steep discount. We regret writing these checks after so many red flags through the pool project. MVP went as far as painting a $99 fire bowl white and sending us a picture of it to try to convince us he had our $5,000 fire bowl in his possession before coming over to install it, which thankfully he never did. This was a complete lie he was selling us to buy time to make the situation ‘right.’ We’ve recently filed a police report and are waiting to hear back from the detective on next steps. Altogether we are at a loss of $10,000. It is alarming to me he has remained in business. We’ve since heard multiple stories from other people with very similar issues, some losing 10’s of thousands of dollars. A lawyer I contacted told me this gentleman has numerous lawsuits against him currently among other financial hardships. We fear we will never be made whole on this matter and only hope our complaint helps to stop him from hurting anyone else.

      Attached are scans of invoices for the original work paid for, but not fully completed by MVP. The Alternative Plumbing invoices were an additonal cost I had to pay to finish the gas work not done by MVP. The checks reflect the full payment for the initial work done for pool / spa install electrical and gas, and the two checks for $6,250 and $3,220 are for the goods and servies we never received / did not receive an official invoice for - screen shots of txt messages are therefore attached as well.

      2 months ago provided contractor with check for 7500 to order equipment and provide installation. Never showed refused to call back by either phone or email. Am presently exploring legal avenue

      Had an inground pool installed late in 2022. Maumee Valley Property Services LLC was a subcontractor to install electrical service not only on pool but also on home. I had several confirmed dates this summer and fall where they were to come to house to complete work but would cancel due to "emergencies". Contractor now will not return my texts or phone calls. I just want work completed that I have paid for which involves most of the electrical work for pool, garage and new service. Contractor also incorrectly installed water lines (backwards) to water heater causing significant damage. Heater will need to be replaced. I have photo documentation of heater and damage.

      I purchased the property at **** ******** ***** ** ******* ** ***** at Perrysburg Title on April 19th, 2021. Prior to the purchase, I needed a contractor due to the property needing a new roof, crawl space access and siding in which the Sellers, **** *** ***** ******, were going to wrote a check (attached) as part of the negotiations at closing. My realtor, **** *******, and I met with ***** ******, owner of Maumee Valley Property Services LLC, and he agreed to do the work. Therefore, he was given a check in the amount of $9000. Chris then provided a paid invoice (attached) for a $9000 credit. Since April, Chris has not done any work as promised (other than hang a TV which he told me he was doing for free and I have in text). He has made numerous promises without follow up and continuously didn't show up for our planned appointments and did not call for several days later with numerous excuses. I have taken time off work to meet with him when he schedules meetings then he does not show up. So, in October, myself and my realtor ****, informed him I wanted my money back and we would no longer be using him. It's cold now in NW Ohio and I still needed a new roof. Chris promised to return the money and has failed to do so. ***** **** with ReMax Preferred represented the buyers and it was her recommendation that we use Chris for the job. We have reached out to her and she also advised him to return the funds to Me, but at this point we have got nothing and he is apparently "missing." No response from him. **** *******, my Realtor, is from The ******** Co., Realtors and can be contacted at ************. Please help me get my money back and protect anyone else he may do this to.

      I have not heard from them. I summarized my complaint below. Please let me know what else is needed. I am a single mom with 3 kids and not having this money makes me ill. I wish there was a way to get it back since he seems to have disappeared. Thank you for your help....

      I do not recommend doing business with Maumee Valley Properties and their owner, ***** ******. Through a real estate deal, Chris was given a $9,000 check to perform work on my house. For 6
      months he made many broken promises and came up with multiple excuses to not do the job. Toward the end of this time period, he no called no showed me for several planned meetings and I would not hear from him until several days later. I needed a new roof and winter was nearing, so I finally asked for my money back. He has refused to return any of my money. He has completely take advantage of me, wasted my time, stood me up when I could've been working, and robbed me of $9,000.

      I am rejecting this response because: A partial refund of my money is not suffice especially when no work was completed. You cant just take someones money. I am still out $2,000. We have been told by the owner we would be paid back and have not received anything.
