      Bought 5 items at this store. When I got home i was missing one of the items. called the store right away and explained to them that i was missing one item. not sure who i talked to but she became very rude and angry saying that she did not ring up my purchase and asked the lady who did. naturally the lady said she put everything in the bag and was extremely rude about it. then they accused me of doing something with it. the item was only $5.50, like i would really try to cheat them out of this amount, considering i spent $21.00 in this purchase. i emailed the shop 3 times since saturday and have not received anything back from them, even though it stated that ****** would get right back to me. They can credit my card or send me the item missing. I believe what happened we started talking and she forgot to put my item in the bag. there was another lady standing behind me to check out and i think she got my item because they insisted that there was nothing left on the counter

      To Whom It May Concern:

      My name is ******* **********, and I own a retail business in Waynesville, Ohio.  I received a phone call today regarding a complaint from a person by the name of ******* *******.  She said that she did not receive an item that she paid for in our shop.  It was rung up, and I was the person wrapping & putting her purchase in the bag.
      I really believe the item was in the bag, but if I somehow did not give it to her, I would make it right.  She called & when I was trying to figure out what happened, in our conversation, she got-what seemed-very upset and hung up on me before I was done helping her-to try to resolve her situation.  I told her that I had that item in stock & that I would save one for her to pick up. She just hung up on me before the situation could be resolved by either her picking the item up (no charge to her) or giving her a credit on her charge card.  As she was hanging up I heard her say something about calling her a liar.( or insinuating)  I would absolutely never do that or act like that to a customer. That was very rude of her, and it's not me. That was strange, and my customers would vouch for our business, I believe.

      I feel that she was not fair or reasonable in her decision to hang up.  She shut off the opportunity to have her problem solved.  I would never intentionally short a customer an item-that is not how my business is run.

      I still have the item (a small cast iron mouse figure, $5.50) at the register.  If she wants a credit on her charge card, that is fine with me.  It is up to her.

      I am rejecting this response because:  Number one I never hung up on her and she was the one who got very upset with me and told me that I must have done something with it and I was not screaming into the phone.   She never once said she had another one in stock.  As a matter of fact she put the lady on the phone who rang me up and that lady did the same thing, saying that I much have done something with it.  Now, why would I lie about not receiving a $5.50 item.
