I made a large purchase of items at the Antique store on 2/10/22. I paid by credit card at the checkout and the man requested my phone number on my receipt. I thought that weird as no other store I have ever purchased at has asked for my phone number. Now, five days later they call me on the phone to tell me that there is a mistake and they didn't charge me for an item. They are asking for my credit card number to charge me once again. The receipt I was given is missing pages so I cannot verify what she is saying. I find it highly suspicious that they are calling me five days later and asking for my credit card over the phone. I feel this is a scam that they call you nearly a week after the fact to say they didn't charge for something. How many people do they do this to on a regular basis? I have never experienced this from any other business and find it highly irregular.
