      I hired Granite Empire of Cincinnati to supply and install granite countertops (brown fantasy). I paid signed the contract and paid the deposit ($1,818) on Saturday, April 6th. At the time of reviewing the contract, the sales agent explained that I could attend an in-person appointment with the fabrication manager to review the locations of the granite that I would like to emphasize (for color, etc.) in the layout of my counters. I asked the sales agent if seams would be needed in the granite and I was assured that seams would not be needed. The granite was schedueld to be installed on Tuesday, April 16th. I was at work; however, I gave the code to the house to the manager. The installers arrived at my home and proceeded to install all but one counter. I was informed that the installers broke the counter (where the sink is placed) en route to my home. I was offered the opportunity to have the fabricator attempt to repair the granite or order a new slab. I requested that Granite Empire order a new slab, as I did not want a damaged piece of granite with visible seams. I spoke with Aaron who stated that a new slab would be ordered; however, it may take 2-3 weeks. Aaron called me two days later explaining that a new slab would arrive on Friday, April 19th and be ready for installiation early next week. I was contacted the following week to arrange for installiation on Wednesday, April 24th. Again, I was at work so the installers entered my home to finish the project. When I arrived home, I found that there was a seam in the center of the kitchen sink and the granite was not level/even. I contacted Aaron at Granite Empire and was informed that their fabrication manager made the decision to place a seam (i.e., cut the center of the granite) as they were concerned about breaking the granite again. On Friday, April 26th a fabrication manager came to my home and explained that the granite was not acceptable and they would try to repair it. Outcome is pending. Will update.

      Very Dishonest, Don't fall for the $1999.00 specials. Buyer beware! they took our $1227.00 deposit after initial contract and measurements from the "sales guy" Lorenzo. Showed up on a Friday to do final measurements never notifying us. I communicated via Ring doorbell and he was less than concerned and said we'd have to re-schedule, they never called, lied about us being notified. After multiple initial measurements, they changed signed agreement and wanted another $500 saying after the "template" measurement we needed three extra Sq Ft. putting us into another pricing tier package and refused to give back our deposit when we wanted to cancel the order, and then reiterated we'd have to pay for the "template" measurement charges, we never agreed to or anywhere in the contract is there a charge for the template measurement. Never received our deposit back or any refund what's so ever. Multiple calls to Lorenzo (initial salesman) who can't measure correctly and an Aaron. Statements made to us on "your job is so small it's not even worth that big of a deal to us". DO NOT write them a check or give them cash!!
