      Back in 2013 our roof had storm damage. e&l roofing came out and assessed that the roof needed to be replaced. A claim was made with my insurance company . Fast forward 9 yrs later the roof never seemed to stop leaking. After trying to have e&l roofing come out and fix their mistake multiple times I eventually called a reliable roofing company and was told I need a new roof due to shotty work. When my roof was replaced they never replaced the flashing, instead they renailed down the flashing after bending it upwards to remove the shingles, and instead of replacing the flashing it was bent back to place warped and dented and tacked with roofing nails and caulked with silicone. Upon further inspection of my roof I also received new gutters that were not leveled correctly installed causing water to further back up and cause more damage not to mention that when each gutter was hung they only screwed two hangers to hold the gutter to the facia board which there should have been about fifteen when I presented these issues to said company I was told they have no record of coming out here replacing my roof and called me a liar but a liar would not have a copy of the insurance claim check cashed by e&l roofing needless to say I may persue legal action in the amount of $7348 the amount that was paid out through my insurance company in 2013 don’t use this shoddy company

      We do have in our records that we did complete the roof and gutters.  However, we have never been informed about a leak and have never received a phone call.  We are very curious to know who the customer spoke to and when?  After a phone record search, the homeowners' listed number has not called our office in at least 2 years.  Perhaps they called from a different number but no one recalls a call about a leak in ****** in the last several years, if ever.

      In regard to the flashing and gutters we would have to see the problem before we could address what has been said.  More times than not, insurance companies do not pay to remove and replace the flashing as its life expectancy is 100 years or more.  We are happy to check the original insurance claim and contract.  That would not mean the work is shoddy, it would just mean the insurance company did not agree to pay for it and the homeowner did not want to pay the additional costs associated with replacing it. 

      Again with the gutters, we would have to see pictures or be shown what they are talking about in order to properly address the problem.  If what the customer stated is true, that would be incorrect and we would be happy to fix it.  However, as this project is over 10 years old, I cannot speak to what may or may not have happened over this 10 year period of time.  I can tell you that we have not changed our phone number in over 10 years and we occasionally get phone calls from the past.  As always, we are eager to help address any concerns or issues with our E&L Family even if they are years out of warranty.
