  01/17/2022 Date of service $215.00. I looked up the website of Eaton Well Drilling and Pump Service located in West Liberty Ohio on 01/17/2022. On their website they indicated that they offered free estimates for their service. I then filled in the information to obtain a free estimate. They called later that day and said that they would stop later that day. Two men arrived in two trucks and I showed them what I needed to have done. Instead of offering my free estimate they removed a pressure guage and replaced it with a new one. It took about 10 minutes. Instead of giving me the estimate that I had requested they took it upon themselves to make the repair and bill me for $215.00. Their invoice indicated that they were from Tremont City Ohio and they had a different phone than that of West Liberty Ohio. I am suspecting that their website was a scam.

  Good morning, 

  Thank you for the communication regarding services at the ***** Residence. Eaton Well and Pump received an online request for services at the homeowner's property. Stating that he had to turn his water off because it was leaking and he could not remove his pressure gauge. Eaton Well and Pump Service Technicians arrived on site, diagnosed the problem and told the homeowner the cost of the work that would need to be completed to resolve the leak. The homeowner gave the technicians permission to make the repair. The technicians made the repair with the stated charges and the customer paid onsite with a check.  Our invoice reflects our Tremont City PO Box where all mail is collected. Our physical address is a West Liberty address where our shop and equipment are located.   Our phone number listed on our website is a West Liberty phone number but often technicians will communicate from a cell phone when out in the field.  Please see the attached initial communication from the homeowner as well as a copy of the paid receipt. No other communication has been made to Eaton Well and Pump from the homeowner since the payment made on site.

  I am rejecting this response because: That is an absolute lie that they gave me an estimated cost to replace the

  pressure guage and I agreed to that estimate.  That is so much not the truth.  I cannot understand how someone

  can make up such a lie.  WOW.

  We have received a complaint message from a customer through the BBB.
  

  However, we are not members of the BBB.

  We attempted to resolve by disputing the complaint, but all we received back was a rejection from the customer. The claims in their complaint are false and contradictory. Are there other action steps we need to take to get this accusation/complaint disputed and resolved on our end?
