I have had my car in there about every other weekend since I bought it three months ago with countless engine light problems. I take it in for service and they do not treat the car like a good mechanic should. They read the code and only replace the first possible error whether it’s broken or not and without checking other potential causes of the issue. I’ve output about $1000 worth of work within three months just to go in circles about the lack of work they want to do. The last straw was the most recent engine light which was a ***** code which is low boost from the turbo. Now this is caused by an oil leak, coolant leak, bad airflow into the turbo or a bad turbo all together. I was told it was because I have an aftermarket intake on the car which introduces more air into the engine which under no circumstances would cause this code to be thrown. Due to the increase in air, the mass airflow sensor would adjust to this air so that no damage is caused to the engine, and the increased air would cause MORE boost in the turbo if anything. Very poor service by these gentleman and I’m surprised this place isn’t out of business. The reason I still go here is because I currently have two warranties with the dealer that prevent me from getting work done anywhere else.Business response

Barry's Chevrolet Buick is sorry that you feel this way. We do take pride in our work but sometimes vehicles do not cooperate. This customer has a Power Train For Life Certificate that came free with the purchase of vehicle. The turbo went out within approx. 30 day of purchase and was covered under the power train certificate. This certificate has a $200 per occurrence but since this happened within 30 days of purchasing we fixed the vehicle and did not change him the deductible. This customer was either given or offered a loaner vehicle so he was never without transportation.
