      I bought a **** ** ****** from RHK Motors on 12/10/22. The negotiations led to 2 options. Option 1- buy as is for $7,000. Option 2-Rodney would have his dent guy take out the dents and ship me the missing center console arm rest (which he said he had already ordered) for $7,500. I opted to go with the $7,500 option and sat at his place of business for a few hours waiting to have the dents removed. The dents were removed. Over the last 3-4 months, I’ve been in contact with Rodney on ******** trying to get the center console arm rest. At one point, he said he had received it and I asked him to ship it to me. He did not. I asked him to meet me. He did not. I ended up picking it up at his place. Upon arriving home, I attempted to install the arm rest; however, it was the wrong one and would not fit. I contacted Rodney about this and asked that he have it shipped back for the correct one. He did not do that but told me that the people he bought it from would be in my town sometime and pick it up. After some time passed, I received a message on ******** saying that the people were in town and if I could drive it to them, they would take it that day. Once I saw the message, I replied and asked if they were still in my town. The reply I got was no. After additional attempts to get the center console arm rest, nothing was done. I found a center console arm rest for $250 and asked that he send me a check or an arm rest. Now, Rodney doesn’t respond anymore. It’s disappointing to deal with a business owner that does not honor their commitments. In essence, I have been stolen from in this transaction. I paid for something that I did not receive and the business owner does not want to address it.

      Dear BBB,
      I am very disappointed in what I have read from the customer.  I have always tried very hard to keep my customers satisfied and happy with every purchase from us. 
      The day of the sell, we spent a good bit of time removing dents for the customer.  And I ordered the part that needed to be replaced for the vehicle.  The part arrived and I contacted the customer so that he could come and pick the part up at our car lot.  The customer didn’t seem to understand that it is very difficult for me to deliver parts to him due to him living two hours away.  It was my understanding with him the day of the purchase that he would need to come back and pick the part up.  However, he did not seem to recall that.  I eventually asked the customer to meet one of my staff halfway for us to get him his console, but he would not do so. 
      As for the part, I had no idea that it was not the correct part.  It comes wrapped in plastic and that is how we eventually gave it to the customer.   The customer had waited awhile to pick the part up, which in return ended up being past the return timeframe of the part, so we could not simply return it.  I was now out the purchase of the part, and no way to return it. 
      I want very much to make every customer happy.  And I am disappointed that this sell has not been pleasant for my customer. 
      I would be happy to give this customer a credit of $250.00 (the cost of the part he found to use) towards any purchase at my business. 
      Please note that I feel I have done all that I can to please this customer and hope to resolve this.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

      I was happy to see that RHK was willing to compensate me $250 for not providing the center console lid they agreed to provide at the time of purchase.  

      Their proposed method of compensation is unacceptable.  I would have to buy another car from them to get the supposed $250 credit.  

      In lieu of a credit, I would like a check for $250.
