I got approved for a big lots credit card, and made several purchases on the card and the card issued, when making a purchase on items over a certain amount, the items will be on a 6 to 12 month promotion deal on all items purchased over$150 dollars, I purchased an item for over $647,paid it off with no interest because so long as you pay your purchased items off within the time period, you owed no interest, next item purchased was over$300, dollars paid it off early to avoid interest, the business was closing down in 2 weeks, and before it did I purchased an item of $188 dollars a week before the store closed, I also used the card on smaller priced items,so after making these purchases, I had a bill of around $450, when I made these purchases I asked the store manager will I have a certain time to pay for the purchased items before interest is included, I was told no interest if paid within a 6 to 12 months times frame, just like the other items I had bought the same way,and I paid off everything before and never had to pay interest on the items because I paid them off within the time frame, but when I made my 1st payment on the Last purchased items on 02/15/2025,of $****** THAT would have are was the amount that qualified for no interest for 6 to ******************************************************************************************************************************************* on something That I bought 2 months ago, on a big lots credit card that I used before under the terms of no interest, if paid in full within 6 to 12 months, and I even asked the if I paid the $ ****** dollars out of the $441.92 dollars I owe would they stop the interest and the said no you still have to pay interest and this is not what the credit card issued was ever applied to, I feel because they closed down in February of 2025, the are trying to charge as much as they can, and they are reopening the same store this next month May 2025, under new owner ship,Initial Complaint

We purchased a king *********** bed and specifically asked if the bed rails were included in the bed. The store manager confirmed everything was in the boxes. I bought a couch from big lots for $900 and a month later the couch broke. I called to ask about the ******** and they said I need to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer closed all of their stores and you cannot contact them. I am still paying of the couch and all the big lots stores are closing. I do not think I should have to continue paying credit card fees or for the broken couch I bought.Business Response

Hello, this is the response I have received from big lots. I have clearly stated that the manufacturer had closed their doors even before they sold me the couch. I have a broken couch and now that they have closed all of their credit cards my credit score has gone down. I would appreciate at least them paying off the rest of the couch through commenity and or a full refund. Furthermore, let me know what I can do to continue to file this complaint.Initial Complaint

I made a very very large order at the beginning of February. It STILL has not been delivered. I ordered from Big lots because it popped up during a game I was playing on my phone. It said I could only make a $50 order, so I made 3 or 4 different orders. Everything from furniture to laundry detergent.. I don't know what is taking so long to be delivered.Business Response

On February 27, 2025 my wife and I went to big lots in ****** to purchase an outdoor patio dining set. The store going out of business so they were having massive markdown sales. The original price for the patio set was $700. We received 50% off and paid $350. I purchased this item with cash and have all the original markings in box the product that sold to me came without an entire back to one of the couches making this piece of furniture unusable there was no indication on the box That there was any missing pieces. Due to them going out of business there is no returns allowed. After speaking to the store manager, she me that there is nothing that they can do because she could risk losing her job doing a refund. She has reached out to her districtmanager with no return call or information to give Me. I tried the corporate phone number and all numbers have been disconnected. I am at a loss here and not sure what to do butI feel like what happened was completely unethical and possibly illegal. Please help me resolve this issue.Business Response
