I applied for critical care, accident, and hospital Indemnity insurance through my benefits program at work with Union Benefits Trust in Ohio. These policies went into effect on 7 1 22. I never received the guidelines.
When I applied for payment from these benefits for my wife's cancer we were denied as it was a pre-existing condition before the policy went into effect. We argued that we didn't know because we had not received the guidelines for the policy.
Payments were automatically deducted from my check to Prudential totaling $318.32 ($79.58 x4).
Since then I have been arguing with Union Benefits Trust and Prudential about getting a refund as we never received the guidelines. They kept blaming each other. Finally I received a call from a Shiloh on 9 12 22. I was told everything was taken care of and I would be receiving $318.32. I waited several weeks and never received payment
So I contacted Annette ***** with UBT, who I was dealing with on that end, and was eventually told a check was issued on 10/14/22. I stated I never received this payment nor saw the check in the mail.
I finally received a payment check from Prudential but for half, $159.16. I am still owed another $159.16.
All I want is the full payment promised to me from Prudential without any more hassle of going back-and-forth between companies arguing who should pay and who shouldn't.
I just want to express my frustration with not being offered efficient services and representation by UBT in getting this matter handled correctly. I have also filed a complaint on Prudential.
