This started January 12, 2023. We ended up changing the contract over and over. The last was April 20 2023. Very little work was ever done. The house is a disaster and unlivable. It was an ongoing nightmare. Yet it seemed there were lots of vacations and many excuses. I have emails of prove. We had a notice of no permit filed. That took months with many excuses. We had no problem getting permits and were told something different they Hanly said. We paid 46,335.56 to Brian H**** in good faith. The work was never done. I sent Brian many e-mails trying to salve this. Asking for 30,000. back. Asking for invoices. He has made it clear he doesn’t want to return our money. We are both retired and need to be able to finish this house. This was a loan we took out to remodel. We desperately need our money returned and now we are broke. Please help us. I told Brian I would file with you he didn’t care. I do believe they did about 12,000 worth of work. We feel 30,000 back is fair. Brian asked for another 10,000. And we stupidly gave it to him. Then we heard one excuse after another about getting a plumber. There is no water. We paid another company for the HVAC and most of the electric. Hanly was suppose to finish the rest of the work. Some drywall and a beam is put up in the kitchen. A back deck torn off. That is all they did. We still need all the plumbing done, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room finished. Outside stairs and much more. This was all in the contract. None of this was done. Please help us. I would have filed a few months ago but we both had Covid and were extremely ill. If needed I do have pictures and e-mails as proof.
