I'm 78 years old. Aarow was contracted by Senior Options to provide me with transportation. On the first scheduled round trip I arranged, they didn't even show up to transport me to the doctor. Drivers came too early twice. The first time I had to insist they come back because I wasn't ready. The second time the driver arrived an hour early and Aarow refused to come back at the scheduled time. I had to stay home. One driver was texting while driving. The van kept veering towards the berm. He'd look up, pull back into the lane and start texting again. At one point he asked me if the policeman sitting in his patrol car at the corner was there to arrest me. The drivers would speed, weaving in & out of traffic, tailgating while driving with one hand. I almost was thrown out of my seat when one driver didn't slow down on a sharp curve at a freeway ramp when there was nothing for me to hold on to. One driver ran a stop sign. The younger male drivers are rude, would not help me getting into the vans. Once I hurt my hip trying to climb up. They didn't even tell me that there was a back door with a ramp I could be using to walk up and into the van. The younger male drivers treated me disrespectfully. I believe there is a cultural aspect to it. BBB has another complaint on file that I came across. It's shocking how that Senior citizen was treated by Aarow. In it's response the company representative dismissed the incident saying the senior wasn't even a paying customer, whatever that means. Of the 16 one way trips with Aarow, there were problems on 8 rides. That's 50%. Several times I complained to the dispatcher about the speeding, etc. as well as my trouble getting into the van. He was dismissive and responded that the driver will help me up, which the men never did. The female drivers are great. One older man, too. He would help me into his van and even walked me into the buildings. I just switched to another company.
