I bought a 2013 GMC Terrain from this company March 2021. The owner disclosed that the car had been in an accident, he showed me the carfax showing it was in a side swipe accident. The bill of sale was marked as a used car. January 2022 the engine blew in the car, not the company's fault. I was working with the warranty company I bought through my bank to get a new engine. They called me last week telling me that when they ran the VIN number the title came back as a branded or salvaged title. This is what was never disclosed to me when I bought the car, I never would have bought the car. I called my bank and informed them, they also stated that they were not aware, they would not have been able to give me the loan for the car. Now instead of having the engine covered 100% by the warranty company that I paid for, they are only covering part of the cost. I also have to pay an additional $1500 for the engine. All of the paperwork that I received, the car was marked USED, not salvaged or branded. Never did they disclose that the car was totaled out previously. I now will not be able to trade the car in when I go to get a new one due to the salvaged title, and if I try sell it, no one wants a car with a salvaged title.Business response

Hi,
I would like to say and confirm that We do no have a salvage license, dealing with warranty companies are not easy that is one of the reason we do not sell warranties because they never cover anything. They love to wash their hands we have heard all kind of things from customers that warranty companies never do anything.
Also to verify title of the vehicle, it does a have a clean title otherwise we wouldn't be able to flip the title from dealership to customers name. And last it would have said rebuild on the title which we are 100% sure it doesn't say that otherwise I would help with the repair of the vehicle. At this point I recommend file a complaint with your warranty company. We buy and sell cars and we can not help you with anything when it comes to warranty companies.
If we sold you a vehicle that has a rebuild title which we did not, for a 13 gmc terrain with only 60k miles for $10k it would have a priced of $5k instead due to the salvage title.
I would call the attorney General on the warranty company and If you feel that we are lying and that we Sold you a salvage gmc terrain which again is impossible by the bmv flipping the title might as well use the attorney General on us so our lawyer can get a contact with GM financial which is the bank we bought it from and go after them if that was the case.
We Apologize at this time for having such bad experience with your warranty company. Thank you for contacting us. We hope that your vehicle gets fixed soon using your warranty company. Thank you.
