We hired ***** ****** of Peak Perfection, to lay flooring for us. Not only did he do shoddy work, he did not even correctly finish the job he was hired and paid for, and has since blocked me on the only method of contact he provided me with for him. We paid him MORE than the amount on his original estimate, because he insisted he was the best at transition work and could lay transition pieces for us that we provided. He did not, and tricked us into thinking he had. He also told us that unless we paid him cash, he would have to add a lot more in taxes. As young first time home owners, we fell for this. We have since learned this is illegal, and all taxes should be figured into the estimate. He would not even provide me a receipt for the large sum of cash I gave him of $3100 on January 18,2022. We are now faced with our money being gone and no way to contact him to get our money back or get this shoddy work fixed and the job completed as promised. He said he laid the transition pieces, but simply hid them under heavy boxes he told us not to move for several days so "glue could dry". Once we moved the boxes, it was evident he Lied and hadn't installed them properly at all. He is a con man and a liar and this company ripped us off and is also most likely avoiding paying taxes by collecting large cash sums for jobs. They also left our house and floors a complete MESS of saw dust, dirty scuffed floors and mud everywhere we spent hours trying to clean. Our floors are still scuffed in places. We are very disappointed with this experience to say the least.
