Having just moved back from Kansas and using most of our savings to do so, I had to opt for used tires at this time...just to get me through a few months before purchasing a full new set. I work for Uber,Doordash, and Instacart at the moment so my vehicle is my livelihood. Did some research and this place had good reviews. On Monday Feb 27 I called this business to see if they had used tires in my size. The guy said yes, so I drove the hour to his store and head in. $125 both tires mounted, balanced and disposal fee. Cool. He isn't friendly per se, but not mean either. Then he tells me "oh we don't have those tires but we have 2 that will work just fine "not to worry" he said, "more tread will be fine" he then showed me with his fingers how much tread they had. Ok, you're the mechanic sounds good. He then said my car might shimmy a bit at high speeds due to a slightly bent rim. ***, I knew that already, car shimmies between ***** but fine and smooth otherwise. I pay $130 because I used a card. On my way home it became obviously that he totally fleeced me. It was a white knuckle ride home, the car knocks and shimmies at 20 mph now and it is terrifying driving a car that feels like it is going to fall apart. If he won't refund this money for tires that are pitted, the wrong size and obviously not good then he needs to be shut down before he causes an accident. How do you even do that to someone? I am a chef, I'd never make a meal for someone that I wouldn't eat myself. I expect that type of service when it comes to something as important as a car.
