I canceled my cell phone service with Verizon in December 2023. I was not able to pay off the bill at the time I switched to a new service because my credit card had been hacked. After receiving a new card, I tried to pay off the service and 2 cell phones in full online which did not work. At the Verizon store, they could not find my account at all! I was told to wait for the final bill by Jan 24.Meanwhile, I have been receiving numerous inconsistent messages for late payment emails, although Im still enrolled for auto payments. The email link states Im not authorized to perform this action. So Verizon sent a faulty link?! **************** was not helpful either after an inordinate amount of time on the phone. On January 28, I paid the cell service in full. I attempted to pay off the phones, but there was an upper limit on how much you could pay at one time. Now I dont even know if they have applied the additional $1,000 I paid to the phones. I have a feeling their system will attempt to apply it to the service (which doesnt make sense because its already been canceled). So the logical thing would be to apply the $1,000 to the $1,600+ that I still owe on the 2 phones. But even after calling customer service and searching the ********************** app, I cannot find where to pay off the phones. Verizon makes it incredibly and unnecessarily difficult to do so! Again, this does not make sense because I have already terminated the service (and this issue tells me that I made a good decision because the customer service is sorely lacking).REQUESTWhat I need from Verizon now is: 1. To apply the additional thousand dollars that I have paid to the two cell phones under my name; and 2. To give me a straightforward way to pay the additional $600+ that I owe on the phones VIA AN EMAIL LINK and NOT via customer service.3. To completely close out the account. This should not be a complicated issue for Verizon to resolve. I look forward to a quick resolution. Thank you.
