I contacted Armor Roofing for a quote for a new roof as well as other repairs on items relating to the roof, which they provided. I agreed to the price for the work and requested they begin the work. After receiving the quote I spoke to my insurance company about the "grade" of shingle I would need for a discount on home insurance. My insurance company told me a class 3 shingle due to the climate and potential for large hail. I texted ************* w/Armor Roofing, and he told me the shingle he quoted "is a class 3" and was the shingle he gave me a flyer for, which was a Malarkey Vista AR class 3 shingle. Upon completing the work I noticed the packaging on the bundles of shingles left behind was for the Malarkey Highlander Nex AR, which is their "economy" shingle and rated as a class 2 hail rating. When I asked ****** about this he stated he would give me an invoice to take to my insurance co stating he installed a class 3 shingle, when in fact installed a class 2. Not only is he attempting to lie to me he is also attempting to defraud insurance by making a false claim about the product he installed.
