I contacted Armor Roofing for a quote for a new roof as well as other repairs on items relating to the roof, which they provided. I agreed to the price for the work and requested they begin the work. After receiving the quote I spoke to my insurance company about the "grade" of shingle I would need for a discount on home insurance. My insurance company told me a class 3 shingle due to the climate and potential for large hail. I texted ************* w/Armor Roofing, and he told me the shingle he quoted "is a class 3" and was the shingle he gave me a flyer for, which was a Malarkey Vista AR class 3 shingle. Upon completing the work I noticed the packaging on the bundles of shingles left behind was for the Malarkey Highlander Nex AR, which is their "economy" shingle and rated as a class 2 hail rating. When I asked ****** about this he stated he would give me an invoice to take to my insurance co stating he installed a class 3 shingle, when in fact installed a class 2. Not only is he attempting to lie to me he is also attempting to defraud insurance by making a false claim about the product he installed.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/22) */ We will go back to the customers home and fixed a section on the back side where the plywood appears soggy and replace the damage plywood and re-shingle the area. We also offer to give the customer a credit of $1881 for invoice #**** for the additional repairs done to the home. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/04/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) They have agreed to make repairs and credit the amount for the difference in the shingle. They also said they would extend their warranty from 7yrs to 10yrs.
