Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2023/02/02) */ I thank you for the opportunity to respond. We want to first clarify that Mr. **** was not the person who purchased the Coleman go-kart. It is our understanding the person who purchased it was his sister. We believe that may be the reason why Mr. **** says he was unaware of the "no refund" policy. It is Dunham's policy that motorized vehicles such as go-karts are nonrefundable. Customers are made aware of Dunham's "No Refund" policy in many ways, including but not limited to postings throughout the store, stickers on the merchandise, and on Dunham's Website. Customers can see the no refund policy specifically pertaining to go-karts throughout the store and even on the product itself. Please see the attached picture of the policy and a picture of the policy posted at the cash register at the store stating that motorized vehicles are non-refundable. On all Coleman go-kart products Dunham's sells, is a bright yellow sticker that states, in all capital letters, "All Sales Are Final". Please see attached picture of a Coleman go-kart box with the sticker on it. Even though Dunham's does not issue refunds, the customers are not without remedy. The go-karts are sold with a manufacturer warranty, so if the product has an issue, the customer can reach out to the manufacturer. To help customers purchasing go-karts, Dunham's posts a large sign notifying customers of Coleman's warranty information. Please see attached picture of the sigh providing the warranty information. With the person who actually purchased the go-kart having been on notice in various ways that Dunham's does not issue refunds for go-karts, and the customer being able to have the issue resolved through the warranty, Mr. **** should contact Coleman to resolve the issue.
