In October of 2022, JKT Mechanical installed a new HVAC system for the upstairs portion of our residence. At a total cost of $6600, they really gave us a great deal! On August 10, 2023, the A/C upstairs stopped working. We called an HVAC business owner friend nearby to come and take a look at what might be the problem. Upon review, it was determined that the compressor had stopped working and was totally dead. The unit was only 9 Months old! Upon hearing this news, we immediately called JKT Mechanical. Their operator forwarded me to the district manager's extension, at which point I left a voicemail. The next business day, shortly after lunch, no calls from JKT. I made another call to their office but had to leave another message. No call backs that day. The 3rd business day came along, and still had not received any calls or messages. Before the end of the 4th business day, my ******** had called and left at least 6 messages/voicemails, written an email, and even tried text messaging. How many responses or call backs from JKT? ZERO! In the meantime, our HVAC friend graciously agreed to help us expedite the issue by contacting the manufacturer's (*******) regional sales **************** ******* said a replacement was not in stock and there was no timetable given upon its availability. (Ultimately, the ******* rep was able to locate a new condensing unit and approve a full warranty replacement). 6 days passed, and with *** decidedly not willing to hear us or help us, our HVAC friend willingly decided to go pick up and install the warrantied unit for us. However, that came with a labor charge of $1500. Any respectable business would have called us back upon hearing about our emergency and gotten this take care of ASAP and at no charge to us, the customer! We expect JKT ********************** to do the right and reimburse us the labor expense. p.s., Today is August 21st and neither of us have heard back from JKT Mechanical of Oklahoma.
