We hired **** ********************** to build our custom home in 2020. We moved into the home in November of 2020. By December of 2020, we began to have problems with water pouring into our home. We would call or text **** immediately. The first two times, he came and caulked between the windows and the siding in the general location of the leak but would never repair the damage caused. We have had this same issue consistently since then. Recently, we discover a new location leaking water into the home. He eventually came out to do the same caulking on the outside of the home. We have began to search out other professionals who all agree that there are problems under the siding allowing for the leaking. However, Mr. ********************** now refuses to look into the issues or repair the damage inside of the house.Business response

December 2020 caulking was repaired and no further complaint from customer. There have been 2 other instances of water leaks and those were repaired as well by caulking the cracked caulking. Customer has been advised of proper home maintenance. I always responded to any call or text and have always made repairs outside of 1 year warranty. My last repair was in April of 2024. I also had my framer out due to still a leak after caulking around window. We found cracked caulk on a 1x4 above windows and advised customer to fix with caulking. I have always gone above and beyond and hope the customer will get other professional opinions before filing an unwarranted complaint.Customer response

The reason for the escalated concern is the damage inside the home that has continually occurred from continual leaking since moving in November 2020. The first two leaks happened within months of moving in. While the caulking was placed quickly, no repair of the damage inside the home has taken place despite our continual requests for correction. We continue to have leaking throughout the home. There is significant concern over mold or other issues arising due to the damage caused inside the home and no repair. We have lived in this home for 3.5 years and have had continual water damage. When reported, we are constantly told to caulk over another spot. There is obviously other issues happening besides caulking and we will continue to have these issues unless another solution is found. The most recent significant damage is found in my 9 year old's room. Significant water damage took place creating extreme concern for mold in his room.We will de-escalate the complaint if a 3rd party contractor of our choice is hired by Keeler Homes to repair the damage inside the home and verify no moisture is remaining in the walls.
