Here's where the scam part comes in, $28 more is paid for what seems to be the same amount of gems and stones as a $35 bag but you are supposed to get a huge amethyst & large ******* as advertised. I received a large rock about the same size as the ones in the $35 bags but nothing close to huge.I was not going to bring this to anyone's attention until it was time to get the wax hands and this is where I was greeted by someone as rude as a bear. I asked her when would be a good time to come back because she seemed very flustered. She snapped at me and basically told me it could take as long as it takes. So now I'm like wait what? I paid almost $100 for some gemstones that I didn't get and now you're being rude when I'm trying to get the waxed hands. The owner lied in his reply that I did not want to wait for wax hands. I did not want to continue dealing with a rude bear. We were reimbursed with 2bags of gems not 3. And you won't get a refund no matter how rude they are. This was on a Saturday March 16th 2024.We did come from out of state to do this activity with the children and the Beavers Bend Mining Company was a chaotic mess. From the miniature golf, to the mining, to the wax hands, Folks are traveling and spending good money to have a good time with the kids but I feel they are taking advantage of with this motherload and mega strike gemstone bags basically being the same bags but $30 more for the other. They are charging you $28 more for a Mega Strike but you will basically get the same things you got in the Motherload. BEWARE.BTW the owner was very patronizing continuing to say, yes ma'am, okay ma'am.When I brought it to his attention that I didn't think I received what was advertised, he took the large rock and said "I think any kid would love to find this rock "??

This customer came to our businesReferencing complaint ***************
s during the busiest part of our spring break season and
purchased a large bag as well as some wax hand activities. By the description of the person
operating the wax hand counter, she pushed her way past the kids in line to ask when she
would be able to do her hand. The operator replied she did not know as there was a long line.
(The line is formed right next to the register she checked out at). The operator needs to
concentrate on her job as she is dipping childrens hands in melted wax and does not have
time (nor the spare attention span) to answer multiple questions. The customer stated that she
did not want the wax hands now and so (per our posted policy) we offered her an exchange of
an equally priced item (the gemstone or pay dirt bag) for each wax hand she had purchased.
Later she approached the counter with a complaint that the gemstones were not big enough
and that they werent huge as described in the webpage. The large gemstone she had in her
package was 4 across easily. (The photos she presented to you are not everything she
received). It was referred to me so I met with her and listened to her complaint. I was
respectful and used Yes maam and No maam responses to each of her concerns. Ultimately,
it seemed to me she wanted something for free since she was not happy with the gems she
had found. The bags we sell are randomly packed within a guideline as listed on our website.
This packaging is done by a third party that supplies companies all over the world. They are
consistent with the product and provide beautiful samples which can be seen by the
thousands of photos on our ******** page.
Specifically, the motherlode bag (the one she refers to as the $35 bag) has contents as follows
      10+ oz. of gemstone mix
      2 Educational Gemstone/Fossil combo postcard
      4 oz. fossil mix
      1/2 oz. Shark teeth
      2 arrowheads
1 large specimen of Amethyst druzy

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: These are false statements. The busiest part of Spring Break? Not your 1st rodeo, You should be prepared. ***** was the person doing Wax Hands and apparently some other activities. A family came in from the Pirate ship to ask if the Wax Hands were ready for their turn because ***** did not have the Wax Hands Set up! So, she was not even doing anyones wax hands at the time because she was not set up. this was after 12pm mind you. At least 3-4 hrs. since they have been open. I then took that oppurtunity to ask "when would be a good time to come back" ***** then SNAPPEd at me, in my face saying" Ma'am it can take as long as it takes!"  this was when I decided I would bring to attention the advertised Gem/rocks.

Beavers Bend Mining does not give what is advertised. I stand by my statement when I say it is a scam. There is no significant difference in the amount of gems/rocks or sizes to compensate for the extra $28 families are paying.
You are not guaranteed to receive this as advertised when you pay $28 more.
       20+ oz. of Gemstone mix
      • 4 oz. fossil mix
      • 1 oz. Shark teeth (6-10 teeth)
      • 2 arrowheads
      • 1 MEGA specimen of Amethyst druzy
      • 1 Large Crystal Point
According to advertisement the MegaStrike should be at least double the size in gemstone mix and include, 1 MEGA specimen of Amethyst druzy
& 1 Large Crystal Point. (NOT TRUE)
My pictures showed exactly what I paid for, nothing more, nothing less.
      $130.
Considering I traveled from out of state and planned numerous events wanting something for FREE? No, I just wanted what was advertised and for Karen to take a chill pill.

      Sincerely,

      Ma ******
