Initial Complaint

- Complaint Type:
- Service or Repair Issues
- Status:
- Unanswered
In the afternoon of 7/23/2023 a mirco-burst hit my home and went through the *******, AZ area. We had 40-50MPH winds with up to ***** MPH wind gusts. Due to the high winds/hail the shingles were ripped off my roof. I submitted a claim through Homesite online on 7/26/2023. Claim # *************. They sent an adjustor from Pacesetters Claims, *************************, to my home to do an evaluation. I did not document the exact day he came out. On Aug 4th, 2023, I received the invoice paperwork for all covered damages and I would be issued the amount of $6,627.28 after the deductible. This was not even close to the amount that is needed to replace an entire roof but repairs were in serious need as it continued to rain for the next few weeks after the initial damages. We were told the check is in the mail and allow 7-14 business days for it to arrive. On Aug 22, 2023, I contacted the claims department because I still had not received the check by mail. I was told my claim was pulled because there was no weather report dated 7/23/2023 in my area. I was able to find a weather report quite easy and submitted pictures of the report and neighbors/Facebook posts in the area that also had damages to their home. I have spoken with ***************************** and ***************************** from Pacesetters Claims. They told me that they would not accept the documentation of the weather event from me and will only be using their weather report. They were very rude and have hung up on me several times. Since this date my claim has not moved forward or been denied. I've requested to speak with a manager to escalate this issue several times. I have never had such a traumatizing experience with any company. I now have additional damage to the wood on the roof, inside drywall, outside siding, and electrical from water leaking in through the roof. I would assume there is further damage once we start tearing into the roof. Please help me resolve this issue as I am getting no where with both companies. Thank you.
