***** went thru sale, was insured, was bought, ***** went down sold to CAV.They cancelled checks and stated that the steer was unable to load on buyers trailer after he walked thru & sold. When I called them they said he was down on trailer when arrived, however he walked to pen & thru sale & was sold. Notice that there was insurance & a buyer & a check issued. Very rude & no considerations was mad & defensive from the point of when I told them whom I was.Business response

Hi! Your animal came in afflicted and down on the trailer. It is illegal to transport non-ambulatory animals. Attached is our ISDA signage that is posted all over our facility, stating such. He could not safely and legally load on a trailer. It is written on your drive in, when he was unloaded, that he is not insurable due to the condition you let him get in. What part of that, which is clearly written on your drive in, do you not understand? If you didnt like that, you should have taken him home. Oh, thats right, he was crippled and starved to death and could barely walk, you COULDN'T take him back! Insurance. Do you understand how insurance works? If we insured animals that are unloaded in this condition, our rates would skyrocket. Then, that cost would be passed onto our customers. Why should our customers that ethically raise their cattle and care for them, pay higher rates because you choose to abuse yours? As a Federally inspected livestock auction market, and as a producer, we do not tolerate animal cruelty in any aspect. The condition your animal arrived in is abhorrent and you should have animal cruelty charges pressed. Im ashamed you are even in our industry.
