The dealership ignored my calls and text as well as emails up until they sold the dealership to a new owner. My tittle was lost by the dealership in the mail as well they were supposed to make first payment in December which was a stipulation of my purchase of the vehicle. I received the payment in March with a letter explaining the lost title. Sold me a car with person’s personal tax information in it as well as personal items. Have been trying to get a title to register my vehicle since I was informed in February over the phone by the same people who sold me the vehicle. They told me that the dealership was sold and I was no longer their problem therefore they couldn’t help me with my title relocation.

Mr. ***** purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima on 11/11/22, upon receipt of the lien release, the dealership applied for a replacement Oklahoma title.

The title and check payable to the customer was mailed to the address on file for Mr. ***** on 1/13/23.

Mr. ***** called Jason the Title Clerk for Barry Sanders Nissan on about 2/28 because he had not received his title and check for first payment.

On 2/28/23 the Title Clerk explained after checking with the lienholder that he would re-issue the check and provide certified copies of the title to register the vehicle with.

Please note the titling laws for Oklahoma changed about a year ago.

On 2/28/23 the Title Clerk overnighted the paperwork to Mr. ***** at the address provided.

Mr. ***** cashed the check on about 3/3/23.  Until the complaint was received by the Accounting Office on 5/22/203, the Title Clerk has not had any further communication with Mr. *****.

Oklahoma changed it's titling laws about a year ago, the lienholder holds the title, the lienholder for Mr. ***** is Americredit Financial.

The lienholder would not give Barry Sanders Nissan the required permission to apply for another title to surrender to Mr. *****.

Upon receipt of the complaint, we reached out to the lienholder again and explained that the customer needed the title to register the vehicle.

The request was denied by Americredit.  They did suggest however that Mr. ***** should 1. visit their website gmfinancial.com 2. complete the tab labeled relocation request 3.  The request would take up to 5 five weeks to complete.

purchased 07/06/2022 They advertised the truck as is, with the original equipment forged aluminum heavy duty wheels and relatively new tires as listed on their provided carfax. In addition their own manager admitted he took the advertising photographs with the wheels and tires as I have described. They were on the website and I have photocopies of this. I would not have paid what I did for the vehicle if it was not advertised with the original equipment. I bought the truck because it is a Heavy Duty version of a half ton truck ( silverado **** HD). HD is for heavy duty. That requires forged aluminum wheels and load range "E" tires for it to be able to tow a heavy load. They sold the Truck to me on their lot advertised as being able to be test driven off their lot. Then a week after I paid for it and they had already sent me the "Pink " slip, they sold it to an auction house. When they realized I had the document and they had to get the truck back, is when the problem started. I told them I wanted the truck inspected by them since they were responsible for it and they moved it off their property. They replaced my advertised wheels and tires with 20 year old dry rotted tires and rusted steel wheels. Even the spare had been blown out and tread separated. That's the level of respect and care they showed me. They pulled a bait and switch on me and I'm very dissatisfied with that and feel it was criminal behavior. I have a pic of the original ad (20220812_111425) and (20220812_111449) as well as pics of the actual wheels and tires. I have numerous pictures including video and actual video of a delivery truck unloading the truck with the wheels and tires as described. Also I have a witness of the delivery of vehicle that was with me when it arrived. If you require any additional photographs I will gladly send them. I want them to replace the old worn out wheels and tires with the original equipment as was advertised.Thank You for your assistance in this matter

      Good Morning,

Please see the attached, *********************** has made several attempts to resolve the issue with the customer without any luck.

      ********************

In response to the complaint filed by ****************************

Barry Sanders Nissan does not deny that the vehicle was purchased by ****************** for
$3922.00.****************** had the vehicle couriered a this own expense per the agreement. At the time of the sale the vehicle had been sent to auction. ****************** claims that tires and wheels were"stolen"is not verifiable by Barry Sanders Nissan as there is no documentation of the wheels/tires when the vehicle left the auction in the hands of the courier.

I have been and remain willing to contribute money to ****************** as a gesture of good faith however those offers have been rejected. Regardless,my offer to help ****************** recoup the apparent loss still stands. I am willing to increase the amount paid to $1000 to help settle this issue.

      Thank you for your consideration.

In April of 2022 I traded my 2020 Chevy 1500 in for a smaller model 2017 GMC Canyon due to some personal matters which was explained to Chris Womack in detail for financial reasons. We were able to come to a good agreement and I felt at the time I was being taken care of as a Veteran. Within a DAY of driving my GMC Canyon the transmission was completely going out (stalling, jumping, rattling). I bought an extended warranty for this purpose and was able to get in contact with the service department to get the vehicle in. Since then I have sent the vehicle up there 3 times and am still having the same issue and am out of pocket about $1400.00 plus a monthly payment on a vehicle that is completely useless. I decided to reach out to Chris a couple of days ago to see if I could buy another vehicle from him and do a trade to make the situation right so I can move on. Our phone appointment went well and he was going to see if he could come up with some numbers. He emailed me later that evening stating a sells rep would be in contact and mentioned a $500 payment if I decided to do my trade. That didn’t make much sense as that’s much more than the payment I have and the vehicle that I am looking at is less than the amount of the vehicle I bought. I have yet to receive a response and I received a notification that my credit was ran without authorization – I assume they utilized the document to check my credit from the previous purchase. Now I am with a ding on my credit and a broke vehicle. As a disabled Veteran, I am totally appalled at the service I have been provided and the lack of empathy this company has. I have had an extremely difficult time getting to and from work. I have tried reaching out via text, email and phone and no one will respond. I do have a record of phone calls/texts/emails that have no responses.

      Below see please:

************************* called me on Oct 3. to inquire about trading their previously purchased 2017 GMC Canyon for a new 2022 Nissan Sentra. She inquired about the value of her trade as well as the potential payment for the Sentra. We spoke briefly and I told her that I would put some numbers together for her. I sent her a follow up email right after we spoke and informed her of the approximate payment amount and stated that I would ask her previous sales professional, *****************, to call her with more information. However, ************* emailed me the following day to explain that she was not agreeable to the cost of the 2022 Sentra and that she wanted to receive almost the same amount for the Canyon as the amount she paid six months and many miles prior. After having an opportunity to research the value of the vehicle I emailed ************* again to give a more accurate account of the offered trade as well as express my desire to help her obtain a new vehicle to which she replied asking me to purchase the 2017 GMC Canyon for the amount of trade offered. I explained that the amount offered was a trade value only and that we were not currently purchasing vehicles. I also stated that I would be happy to try to price match any bonafide offer she may have received on a new Sentra as well. There was no response. The following day the BBB complaint was received.

Please see the attached email conversation for context.

      Respectfully,

I bought a car from Barry Sanders I signed the first contract on November 9th 2021. Never received a title to get my tag no payment stubs, nothing. I called to ask why they tell me it's just whats happening to everybody. Got a call Jan 20th to come sign another contract. Mind u it's ready been almost 3 months. They lied told me it was a date that was wrong but come to find out they swapped me and my co buyer places on the contract me not knowing any better we signed a whole new contract. Within days received the title take it to tag agency and it had 130$ worth of late fees. So I go talk with them about it. *********************** first tells me that they will pay late fees plus some oil changes so I agreed to that. Well about a week later I've heard nothing from him, so he never returns my call, so I show up after work 1 day. He now tells me that instead of oil changes they are just going to cut me a check for 500$ for late fees plus they were gonna pay the sales tax on the car so I was like ok that's a deal. ***** told me to come get check on Feb 14th. No check ready at that time finally on the 18th I go up there to pick it up and it's only ******. So I message ***** tell him that's not what we agreed to he says how much was it I don't know(another lie bc he went to pick up the check himself so he says). I tell him how much he does nothing and stopped talking to me all together. I just want them to own their s*** they screwed me all the way around.

12/5/20 I drove 4 hrs to purchase a 2009 VW EOS advertised for $4920 and trade in a 2006 Nissan ***************** truck. There were all kinds of warming lights on the car. The windows went down, but wouldn't come back up. The trunk would latch which may be a reason the hardtop convertible didn't work. The salesman put the car in the service bay and said they were fixing all of the problems so I signed paperwork and they were supposed to give me $3300 for my trade-in that was worth well over twice that amount. After signing the papers I was told I had to come back to get the car because they had to do 120 pt inspection. They agreed they would bring the car to me. The next day, they advertised this same car for $3920 on their website which was $1000 less so I contacted them and they agreed to correct the paperwork. I went back on the 19th to pick up the car that the salesman said was all fixed. I expected the paperwork to be ready to sign but I was there almost 4 hours. I didn't see the paperwork I was signing as I was signing an electronic device like an iPad that just showed my signature. They were just past closing hours when finished and salesman followed to put gas in the car. Warning lights were all on and advised the salesman the tire pressure light was on and the water temp level, both should have been handled in the 120 pt inspection. He said some crazy thing about their mechanics not being allowed to put air in the tires because they had to put so much in there it could blow up. ? On the way home, it had a miss but figured might just need a tune up. I only drove the car 2 wks before it broke down after it started running very badly. The car has been at ********* in ********* since 1/25/21. It needs an engine. The warranty people refuse to approve or deny but the engine is covered. The engine was also under warranty by the dealer who has refused to respond. I also discovered that the contract reflected a sales price $2000 more than advertised. More to this.

Last month this car dealership did a bait and switch. They had me digitally sign 1 set of documents that had me listed as the co-signer and then said that the electronic signature didnt work and sent me another set of documents to sign that had my name as the buyer. I would not have agreed to the sale if I was the primary buyer of the vehicle.
