We responded to an advertised price of $2950 which included tax out the door on an ad that was posted and we were on a waiting list. We were placed his number 10 on the waiting list for 10 mini golf carts that were coming in this week, we were notified yesterday that we could pick up our golf cart at 10 AM on Friday morning this morning we arrive there being told that there was a $200 extra fee due to freight charges. We offered to meet in the middle and split the $200 and pay $100 of that dollars Due to the freight charges responded to $2950 which included Tax out the door $2950. The owner of the business refused to meet us in the middle of the $200 and got ugly with us and we ended up walking out without our golf cart. We needed the owner to honor his advertised price.Business response

Back in April/May we purchased and sold 8 Mini Golf carts for $2950. They sold quickly, so we made a list of prospective customers that were interested in looking at the next shipment. We put in an order for 10 more. It took almost 2 months to get them in. We were unaware of the increase in shipment charges until pickup. It was a $300 increase per unit, but we just increased our product cost by $200. When we made the list, it was prospective buyers, no money was received, no receipt for a sale was written. When we called everyone or they were ******** messaged, they were told they were in and they could come and look at them. When ******************* and her husband came in 2 days prior from this incident, they were told that the increase was $200 because of shipping, which we were unaware of until pickup. They left knowing that the price was $3150 and she stated she can get them for $2700. They came back 2 days later, knowing the price was $3150, and tried to purchase one for $2950. She then wanted to meet in the middle for $3050, but we already had prospective buyers. After I told her it was still $3150, she threatened me with her sister in law that works at the BBB. I immediately and respectively told her that the price wasn't going to change and I did not care that her sister in law worked for the BBB.
If in fact, this is her sister in law, I respectfully request that we could have a different case worker. We had no problems with anyone else with the price increase and they are all sold. We do apologize, however, for the price increase, but had no control over it. The marketplace ad, however, did list the wrong price for approx. for 3 or 4 days after we found out about the increase. That is our error in not changing it immediately. That we do apologize for. It was Purely unintentional.
