      Our sewer system stopped draining. We called Baker's plumbing. They sent out 2 employees who started to work on the problem. After approx 2 hrs, they asked my husband ******* if he knew where the septic tank was. He replied that he didn't know, said that the previous owners thought it was out in the front yard, but that we didn't know for sure, and that they (the 2 employees of the plumbing company) were the experts. Septic tank was later found by employees in the front yard, but closer to the house than they expected. Employees had gotten some equipment stuck in the septic tank. The problem with the sewer system was a full septic tank that was not draining. The employees left with the problem unresolved, as they do not offer septic tank pumping/cleaning. They had removed 1 toilet and replaced it, but with a leaking water supply line, and dirt/mud/sewage all around the bathroom. My husband asked how much the bill would be. They said they would sent it to us. Approx 1 week later we received a bill for $964.97. $488.22 of the bill was said to be for "NEW LARGE SEWER ROD FEE DUE TO CUTOMER SAYING SEPTIC TANK WAS IN ANOTHER SPOT THAT IT ACTUALLY WAS CAUSING SEWER ROD TO GET BROKEN". I called the company to dispute this part of the bill. Spoke with the secretary and one of the technicians who had come to our house. This technician said he agreed that the $488.22 was an unfair charge, and said that he wouldn't pay for that if he were us. So, we sent payment of $462 for "LABOR TO UNCLOG SEWER" (which is untrue, they actually did not unclog sewer) along with a letter explaining why we would not be paying the remainder of the bill. This month we received a past due bill for the $488.22 along with $14.75 in finance charges. I contacted the secretary of the business, and she said she would have the boss call me back.
