We've used Green Country for years, and we've done everything they asked. This spring, we had several large dead spots and weeds. They have always handled yard pests (slugs), pre-emergents for weeds, and fertilizers. They last fertilized May 13. They should have seen the horrible yard condition, but all they did was leave a $95 invoice in the door with "water at earliest convenience" circled. My husband called twice. Finally last week, we got a one-page letter mailed to us, indicating they'd emailed us after our first call (he's 71; he doesn't check email!). They were accusatory, said they sent a company rep yo take photos, and determined we weren't watering and mowing too short, and said it was time to part ways. We use a professional mowing service (same one our HOA and neighbors use), and water regularly. We got an independent consult who immediately diagnosed mole crickets. Online searches and photos support the diagnosis. New company us coming out to treat AND fertilize this week at half the rate we'd bee sinking into Green Country. Other people told us long ago they quit using Green Country. I wish we'd listened because I was never 100% satisfied with them though ***** didn't want yo rock the boat.

Grub and mole crickets do the same damage. They both eat the roots of ******* which kills it off where they have feasted. *********** lawn has a history of grub/mole crickets doing damage. When we brought it to his attention that he would need yearly treatments he had us treat 6/15/2019, 5/29/20, 7/21/21. We advised ******* in an email and on an invoice on 9/16/22 (his profile shows he opened this email and invoice on 9/18/22 at 445pm). We stated "Your lawn is showing signs of grub worm/mole cricket damage. We can treat with a product that lasts approx. 5 months (if watered into your soil properly. Please advise if you would like your lawn treated ($140)." He did not have us do the application. We give recommendations and suggestions but obviously we are not going to do a grub worm/mole cricket application (or any chemical applications) without client approval. We brought the mole cricket damage to *********** attention in September and he chose not to have his lawn treated.Throughout the years we have continued to recommend he raise the mow height on his ******* to 2.5". *********** mowing service is mowing the lawn too short. The lawn is continually too dry, we have recommended 1" of water a week for the *******. Just because you water regularly doesn't mean the ******* is receiving 1" of water a week. The water output must be measured especially when your lawn care company is advising several times a year that the lawn is too dry and requires 1" of water a week.******* brought in another chemical company to look at his lawn and it was diagnosed with what Green Country Weed and Pest had diagnosed last September and yearly prior to this. When we make recommendations and suggestions to clients on how to improve their lawn and then they reach out months later to complain about the very thing that we brought to their attention, it is very frustrating. At this point, we felt that we were no longer the right company for *******.
