In August a contractor was hired to renovate my property in ******. We agreed that the cost for repair was $****** which included permits, labor, and the Installation of an AC unit for the house. The expected time for the property to be finished was Mid September. The property was left unfinished with trash from used materials all over the yard. Throughout the process it was brought to my attention that it was not in our best interest to install a full AC unit. In November, ******* our contractor recommended AC Split units. The purchase for the split Units was $***** which ******* picked up from ********** to put in his storage so that they werent on the property until they needed to be installed. Throughout this whole process we were paying and ordering material from ********** and he was picking them up as needed. Another situation that occurred in November was permits for the property. A stop work order was placed on the property due to ******* not getting permits. ******* used the excuse of the permits to delay the work on the property. As we approached the end of November communicating with ******* became very hard. December 15 i drove from ********** to ****** to meet with ******* in regards to the property. ******* was aware of the trip but when i arrived he wouldnt answer his phone. After continuous calls and text messages he texted me saying he was out of town for a business trip and would not be able to meet with us. The drive, hotel stay caused us unnecessary expenses. When we went to the property it was in terrible shape and most of the work he got paid for was not completed. At this point our communication with him was through a man named ******** who referred ******* to us. ******* told ******** that he was not going to continue working on the property even though he was already paid the full. We simply asked that he returned our ac split units and he insist that they are on the property when they are not. He refuses to answer us to get them back.
