- Service or Repair Issues

Our home received damage following a tornado on 11-4-2022. We then entered into a contract agreement with *******************, owner of Tri City Roofing on 12-15-23. Our roof was installed by his company on 12-26-23, on the same day as the installation a representative of the company (*********************) told us there were issues with the shingles that the shingles would never lay down correctly. She stated not to worry that they got the roof dried in, they were contacting the shingle manufacturer representative and the entire roof would be replaced. A few weeks later the owner ******************* told us the representative of his company (*********************) mis-spoke about the shingles there is no need to replace the roof, that he had the shingle manufacturer representative look at our roof, that there were no issues with the shingles, and that it would simply take time and warmer weather for the shingles to lay down correctly. At this point I remitted the paperwork to our mortgage company for them to release the check to pay for his services, however as part of their policy they perform an onsite inspection of the roof before approving the requested check to be sent and they found issues with the work provided and did not approve the job. They noted defective shingles not laying down, a decking board with a hole in it that was not replaced, they used woodworking staples instead of nails in some areas, exposed nails, nails blown through the decking in some areas, torn shingles, drip edge flashing not installed correctly, and other damages to decking boards while installing ridge vent. **** was notified of these findings on February 1, 2023 and that they would need addressed before the mortgage company will release payment. He stated he would address it. We made several attempts to have him meet us and do a walkthrough so he would know exactly what needed fixed, made multiple appointments with him, took off work he repeatedly didnt show up and after the 3rd time he didnt show up, on March 12, 2023, I asked him why he didnt show and he was not nice about it, so I reached out to a lawyer who wrote a letter informing him again he had 30 days to fix the issues. **** then brought in the shingle manufacturer representative (the same one who they supposedly called on the day our roof was installed and who said there was nothing wrong with the shingles at that time) to prove that there was a shingle defect and the shingle company would pay to replace the roof. However, we were told we would still need to pay Tri city for the roofing job they did. But, because he did not fix any of the other issues not related to the shingles, we have not paid him as our mortgage company denied the work performed. **** believes these things are a non-issue and is demanding payment at this time. He even came to our house cursing and tried to provoke my husband into coming out into the street to fight him. We did file a police report and the interaction is recorded on camera. It is because of his actions that we began looking into the rules set forth by the **** On the contract he had us sign, it has the name Tri City Roofing with OK LIC# ******** which is registered to ************************* and is suspended. Also, in the same contract it has 2 LLC company names, Tri City Roofing, LLC and Tri City Roofing and Construction, LLC. The Yard sign he had us display has the name Tri City Roofing but with a different License number, OK LIC # ******** which is registered to *****************************. Also, in the contract he credited us 1562.00$ for storage of equipment on the property and use of electricity and marketing advertising... this is the exact amount of my insurance deductible. According to (House bill **** ******** deductible law) this is fraudulent. Another Complaint is that Tri City Roofing company is not displaying any signs on the vehicles they are using. They have MANY houses they are working on here in our town d/t the extensive tornado damage, and not one vehicle that they are using or have used to transport materials/operate their business has the name of the company, license numbers, phone numbers, etc. on them. The group of men he had install our roof had no type of company logos on the vehicles they were using either, so we are not even sure if those men work for him under his license number or if they were sub-contractors or what. His business cards do not have his license number on them, and they say ******************** instead of Tri City Roofing and Construction, the company that his license number is registered under. Also, the license number # ******** lapsed from February 28, 2023, until the end of April 2023. **** and 2 other people working for him were physically on our roof in March during that lapsed time. **** was also working down the street from our home working on our neighbors house during that lapsed time.
