Hired Norman automotive in December of 2020 to replace the engine. The completed engine in march15thof 2021. Had to take it back for two oil leaks on the engine. Took back in June for engine overheating and smoking. Was told on September 10, 2021 to pick up van he has right to refuse service. He blames engine manufacture but has not made any claims with them to repair engine. it has sat for months with no work being done. it's sitting in a field where rats are making nests in vehicle. He has been paid in full in march. The vehicle has not been in good working condition the entire time. He has lied about tools, employees and manufacturer setbacks. He is not working at all on the vehicle. i have had to remove vehicle from his premises because he told me to. I have moved to a different mechanic who I will now have to pay to repair what I have paid Jimmy to repair. This is a new engine and radiator. He provided all materials labor.Business response

The customer called me on 09-10-2021 for an update and started yelling at me, cussing at me, and calling me names. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE WHO TREATS ME THIS WAY. I've been working with the parts supplier the entire time his van has been here (July 8th, 2021) and we found another manufactures defect WHILE DOING THE REPAIR HE BROUGHT IT IN FOR (yes, it's been done for weeks). This started the process all over again with jasper. On Sept. 7th, 2021 (after several phone calls) and after the customer calling the manufacturer directly) the parts manufacture agreed to send me the part for the repair. To date, I still have not received it. But on 09-10-2021 I told the customer after he verbally abused me over the phone that I refused to work on his van after being threatened, cussed at, and called names. He threatened me AGAIN. If this takes away my A+ rating with BBB, so be it and I will stop paying dues immediately. I will NOT be treated like this by anyone and if he ever shows his face here again he will be arrested for trespassing.
SIDE NOTE: The engine that is in need of repair has a NATION WIDE WARRANTY and can be taken to ANY of thousands of authorized Jasper repair centers for warranty work. AS A JASPER REPAIR CENTER I HAVE A RIGHT TO REFUSE TO DO ANY WARRANTY WORK ON ANY VEHICLE FOR ANY REASON. So he is still getting the work done under warranty. I feel this negates this complaint as he makes it sound like he's stuck with a broken van and will have to be responsible for his own repairs.
