      I went to this dentist for an estimate on dentures. As it ended up, I applied for a credit card. The deceptive part happened when the ******* clinic used every ***** of my card plus my insurance. Assuring me that this bill was paid in full, I proceeded. They ripped my teeth out And got me a temporary set of dentures. A month later I get another bill. It appears they intentionally underestimated the bill so they could *** my credit card and then double back and bill me again. This is deceptive. I have asked them about it, and the office manager agreed that this could appear deceptive. She agreed to forgo the second charge of $230 and adjust out on her books. I left happy. They have never erased the debt and I am continuously getting bills from them for the amount. She lied to me.

      In response, this claim is a false accusation. On each treatment plan that is presented to patient it clearly states twice "Insurance coverage is only an estimation. Guarantor is responsible for all treatment not covered by insurance." Unless there is a pre-determination sent off, which must be requested and takes weeks to receive back, we have no way to of knowing indefinitely what insurance will pay, all we can do is give estimates based off the percentages of coverage, hence why we stress, insurance coverage is just an estimation. In this particular scenario, they did not cover their pre-estimated amount. When pt received a statement with the unpaid balance he called the office to inquire. During this call pt was extremely rude, aggressive in tone, and used profanity multiple times.  In efforts to resolve issue, I explained that we would try to resubmit amount to ins to see if they would cover the unpaid amount, and if not, if pt could proceed in a civil manner I could work something out with the pt. Pt received another statement, instead of calling to check on this, pt left a review on ******* stating we "intentionally underestimated the cost to get them to commit," and that "we lied to them and were bad actors". This is false and is a defamation of our name. After the review was seen I immediately tried to call pt to rectify the situation, and to explain that if pt was going to slander us for something that is out of our control I was not going to adjust anything off due to it being rightfully owed, unless patient was willing to delete the review and again proceed in a calm and civil manner to get situation handled. There was no answer, I left a voicemail. Pt did not reply but called over 1.5 mos later, left a voicemail, again being extremely aggressive, using profanity, saying that we are scammers and that he would be contacting legal. I refuse to work with and comply to someone who thinks they are able to get their way by means of bullying, and slander.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      The guy at the counter told me directly that he had contacted my insurance company for a coverage estimate, then missed the **** by hundreds. This is a lie. I called and the insurance said they would have gladly helped with the estimate, had they actually been contacted.  
        Unfortunate that we cannot resolve this matter. A small claims matter of $230.00 could have been solved, but now, a point will have to be made. 
         We talked and had a deal and you didnt fulfill your end of the deal. You even admit it in your statement. What options do you leave me? I will remove the reviews, but not until Im sure you will really follow through. Remember we already agreed to this once.
