1 starBunch of crooks. Took over $3,500 from me and did nothing to resolve my tax situation. In fact after setting up a meeting with the *** the worker for polston MISSED the meeting ( That I didn't know about. ) I was passed around to several different workers, at least 5 and nothing was resolved. I wished I had gone to a legit Tax Attorney not this bunch of shysters.Review fromSteven B

5 starsI cant say enough good things about Polsten Tax. From April 2022 to December 2024, they helped me confront and resolve a massive tax debt that weighed me down for nearly a decade. When I came to *******, I owed over $50,000 to the *** after years of 1099 work and ignoring my taxes. It felt impossible to overcome. From the first call, Polsten made me feel I wasnt alone. They laid out a clear plan, kept me informed, and handled all communication with the ***. What stood out was their consistency whenever I had a question, someone gave me a clear, confident answer. They removed the fear and gave me a sense of control. The initial plan was to negotiate a payment arrangement. While they worked on that, I paid a manageable fee to Polsten and they kept the *** informed. That process gave me critical breathing room. During that time, I saved money and by the time we reached a resolution, I had saved enough to pay the full balance. On top of that, they secured a $10,000 reduction by identifying I qualified for a first-time penalty abatement something I never would have known to ask for.Polsten didnt just fix my tax problem they gave me back my peace of mind. They filed my 2022 and 2023 taxes, made sure my lien was released, and treated me with respect at every step.I worked with so many great people ****** ********, ********* ******, ****** *********, ***** ******** (my attorney), ***** ******, ******* ******, **** ****** *******, ****** ********, ******* Best, *********** ******, ****** *****, and ********* ******. Every one of them treated me like my case mattered. If you feel overwhelmed by tax debt or just want honest, expert help with your taxes I highly recommend Polsten Tax. They didnt just earn my five stars they earned my lifelong trust.Review fromJason R

4 starsI recently worked with Polston ****************** to navigate the **** Currently Not Collectible (CNC) program, and I cant say enough about the positive experience I had with ******, the attorney on my case. From the beginning, ****** was exceptionally clear about every step of the process, helping me feel fully informed and at ease throughout. He provided proactive communication, often reaching out to update me before I even had a chance to ask questions. Thanks to his guidance and expertise, my case was resolved smoothly and successfully. If youre looking for knowledgeable, supportive, and professional help with tax matters, I highly recommend Polston and ****** for the job.Review fromMatthew B

1 starI hired Polston's in ~2014. Terrible results ending with IRS liens, etc. I had to go back to them in June 2020 in need of desperate help. They assured me things would be different from my first experience. I needed audits on the returns they had provided. It has taken 4 years and nearly $50K and this hasn't been resolved yet. They did send me the audited returns a couple of weeks ago and they looked nothing like the original returns. They made several excuses like "we can't do anything with returns we didn't prepare", seriously, and "the person that did the originals isn't here any longer". I recently sat with the original tax preparer in their office and discussed this situation. She assured me she would look into this and get back to me. So, I'm waiting for them to explain to me why such a difference. I have faith in one young lady that's my attorney. I hope she can get things done for me. Other than her, I can't say anything good about Polston's. I wouldn't suggest anyone wasting time or money on them.Review fromGa H

Obviously a lot of people been misled and scammed as I was scammed. Polston Tax convince you that they will help and get a resolution, but they just want your money. They don't care about you. They stole ******** from me and cost me ********* in interest from the ***. Polston also started charging ****** after 2 years for 3 months and didn't accomplish anything They use the excuse that covid was causing delay with IRS. I see there response and it just erks me how they munipulate the system and hard working people. They calculated our expenses and didn't know what the requirements where and our resolution got rejected. They do not know what they talk. They don't answer the phone. If you leave a message, good luck. This is robbing without a gun. GOD will punish for dirty deeds. I'm glad I'm not in there shoes. Totally unhappy and feel shamed I chose this firm. So Polston Tax, add another lie for records with GOD when it's your time for each of you to face him.Polston Tax Resolution and Accounting

We regret when any client feels the way you do, but we also have to correct the record because we deeply disagree with your characterization of the services provided to you. First, and this will not be news to you since it was discussed in your initial consultation and reiterated in your Engagement Letter with us, we cannot guarantee a specific result on a case until we complete a detailed financial analysis and negotiate the best resolution we can with that information. You describe it as us “stealing” money from you, but more accurately, you didn’t know what your options were and hired us to examine the options and pursue the most affordable option available to you based on your financial information. We did exactly what you contracted for us to do. We also wholly disagree with your statement that we do not know IRS requirements regarding expenses. We prepared and filed an Offer in Compromise for you that included some expenses that are sometimes disallowed and sometimes allowed. On these specific expenses, it comes down to advocating, arguing, and substantiating, but ultimately allowance or disallowance on these specific expenses comes down to the specific IRS representative that gets assigned to review the application. It was entirely possible that the IRS could have accepted the application, but unfortunately, despite our best efforts, it was rejected. We promptly pivoted to your next best resolution option and pursued that instead. The final point we’d like to address is the duration of your case. You claim that we cost you a significant amount of interest, implying that the length of time your case took was our fault. You first retained our legal services 4 years ago specifically for the tax debt you owed at that time. After retaining our services, you added to your tax debt by failing to timely file and pay on two subsequent tax years. Failing to file and pay current taxes is a breach of your Engagement Letter with our office, but more important, the reason we make that a term of your contract with us is because any resolution we could have obtained earlier in your representation would have defaulted upon these new tax balances you created. In fact, the second new tax balance you owed was from this current year, meaning we could not have possibly resolved your case until now. Any delay that has occurred on your case, accruing additional interest, has unfortunately been your own doing. We sympathize with your frustration, but it is clearly misdirected in this case. We are pleased to have helped you resolve your tax matters, and we wish you the best of luck in maintaining future compliance, so you don’t find yourself in tax trouble again.Review fromElyse B

1 starThis is a ZERO star establishment! This company is nothing but crooks! They took thousands of dollars to "work on our case" and did not accomplish anything. There was minimal contact received by "our team" that was made up of not one attorney/accountant. In the last conference call, after paying for months, it was clear that our case leader had no knowledge about our case. He asked questions that were provided during our intake and on multiple documents we provided. During this call, I asked what additional was needed and sent over immediately. When I reached out to our team asking what work had been done on our case I was told that this information did not need to be provided to me due to the type of contract I had signed. I NEVER signed anything stating that a status update would not be provided. That is RIDICULOUS! Upon repeatedly asking multiple team members and only receiving rude replies, I reached out to multiple members in the firm found on their website. In which I received reply that I refused to give them requested documents and provided fraudulent information. I was told that they had completed 75% of the work but I was the reason they could not proceed. I then asked if my case was not going to be resolved, I expected a refund for the thousands spent. After months and multiple followups, I received an email back that no refund was due given the amount of work that was done, but that they als were not going to do anything further with our case. I wonder how long they would have scammed us out of money if I had not pushed for a status update. A company doing honest, quality work would have no problem answering this question as I think any customer deserves to understand what is being done when paying significant money. I wanted to understand the status of my case so I could properly prepare. This company is out to take advantage and hard earned money from people who are trying to dig out of a poor situation. They are VERY responsive however until you sign!Review fromNatasha and Taweh H

1 starTook my money almost 18 months ago and kept losing my POA. They did nothing and so when I started calling daily to demand a refund, now they say they just completed a review and want to schedule an appointment with me. However, I don't want to work with them, as I don't trust them moving forward. He claims because I refuse this appointment, I am refusing service, and there is no refund. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM and the reviews here and on **** all say the same. AVOID!
