My mom passed 09,21,2022. For her cremation she used affordable cremations in ******. She has ins policy for these services with homesteaders life ins. Mom made payment to both...same amount each month when she only needed to pay monthly to affordable cremations. I go pick moms remains up and was shown by office person that there was a 0 balance... no money due. She showed me on her 2 screens from her computer and says "0 balance but file still open"...then she went quiet. She told me that i needed to file the claim with homesteaders. And she explained that the policy is a no cash back to survivors of mom but still need to send in claim. I told her there is no need if paid in full. And no cash coming back to the family.I called homesteaders and gave them the whole story and thought it was done.I received a "final request" from homesteaders ins. Not for sure why. So i call them and they will not give me any informationuntil i send in the claim request. So i have no idea why the i s company and affordable cremations wanting this claim filed so badly... but will not answer any of my qurstions.I have filed a complaint with oklahoma ins. Comm.... and thought maybe you can help. Or at least look into the shady deakings i feel are going on.Thank you for your time and help,******************* ************
