My wedding was September 4. I asked my maid of honor, Lindsey, to order a groom’s cake for me. She chose Kita’s Desserts. We asked Kita to make the cake look like a Pokémon cake and gave her a picture for reference. We wanted the exact same cake but different toppers and ribbon around the base. Kita said it’d be no problem. The transaction of $500 was made February 7,m. A few days prior to the wedding date, Lindsey checked on the status of the cake with Kita and Kita said the toppers would be delivered to her address on the day of the wedding but was unsure if it’d arrive before the agreed upon delivery time. She suggested we find the toppers ourselves and did not refund any money even though this violated what we agreed upon. On the day of the wedding, the cake arrived 40 minutes late with no toppers or ribbon around the base and was melted. Kita texted Lindsey that she’d refund half ($250) within 7-10 business days and it has been pass that time. Kita has blocked us on everything.Initial Complaint

My friend purchased a cake for a wedding from this business. Very expensive ($500 total), so obviously we were expecting great quality. Upon arriving (40 minutes late) at the venue with the cake, Kita apologized and said the cake shifted in the car and agreed to refund half the amount because the cake looked absolutely messed up. She did not have any equipment with her to even attempt to fix the cake. Now she has not returned half of the payment as she promised (that we have texts to prove) and has been very unprofessional towards my friend that paid her; she has blocked her on all SM and will not return texts/phone calls. If you want a bad cake and unprofessionalism, this is your best bet.
