I moved from ******** to ********** 8 months ago. I have a month to month contract with Planet Fitness (PF) in *************. My agreement# is *********. Right after the move 8 months ago, I called PF and asked PF to close my account. They said I had to come in or send a letter. I then made a second call during a different shift and was told the same thing. Since I couldn't go there in person, I emailed PF's corporate headquarters via their online contact form. The email was a written closure request. It was ignored. After 2 more calls, I sent them a physical letter in the mail, which was ignored. In the meantime, I ended up paying 3 months of gym fees after I stopped using the gym and after I requested account closure. But after 3 months, I refused to keep paying their dues. And since they still refuse to close the account no matter how delinquent it becomes, their billing system has me as 5 months overdue with months of unpaid gym charges and late fees for a gym I have not used even once during those months.
