See attached letter. As of today, I still have not received a response from Lifetime. Also, they did not give me an estimate of the cost before they provided the service. If I knew it will cost almost $200 I would not have use them.Business response

When visiting our office the patient is given an explanation of how our billing works. We bill the patients vision insurance unless a medical diagnosis is found and then that diagnosis must be recorded in their chart and therefor billed to medical insurance. The patient indicated at the beginning of the visit that she knew of a medical condition and would get a referral from her primary care physician. The medical condition is present whether a referral is placed or not. We have billed the patients medical insurance and are not in control of if they have paid their deductible or not.
The patient has spoken with our billing company and all charges are correct and unfortunately no adjustment is due.

I went in for an eye exam. After checking in and doing all of the tests I was in the room waiting for the doctor. She saw I had allergy conjunctivitis and said we need to treat that before I examine you. Mind you my eye had already touched all of their equipment! She gave me a prescription for some drops which I am thankful for and cleared my eye right up. I was asked to come back a week later. I did and then was told there would be another $35 charge. The supervisor said if you came in for itchy eyes and then wanted an exam later we would charge you separately. I didn't disagree with that but said I didn't come in for the itchy eye and came in for an exam and you sent me away. The supervisor was adamant I would have to pay so I said I will go somewhere else to which she replied ok. Not a care in the world. I'm sorry I didn't read these reviews before but I never leave reviews. Sounds like overcharging and poor customer service is par for the course here. Also filing complaints with BBB and insurance provider.
