Whom it concerns:
My business received a letter, ID ********, concerning *****************. The complaint ************** submitted is absolutely false. She claims that we removed her ring from **** and cut it and burned it and stole her diamonds. When a customer pawns jewelry with us, we place it in a clear poly bag that is heat sealed shut in front of the customer. When she picked up the ring out of ****, I personally cut open the package for her and she immediately started accusing me of messing with her jewelry.
1) She claims we cut and burnt her ring. What she saw on her ring was where she had previously taken the ring, by her own admission, to other Pawnshops and they used a file and jewelry testing acid to verify it's authenticity. At Sooner State Pawn, we NEVER file on a customer's jewelry and we NEVER use acid. We have invested in an Olympus XRF Gold Xpert Analyzer. This machine essentially X-rays the metal and gives us the metal makeup. Our testing method is 100% non-destructive.
2) While accusing me of the above, ************** admitted that the last three Pawnshops supposedly did the same thing to the same ring, and that she knew how to handle me.
3) I refused to hear it then, and I refuse to hear it now. She is flat out lying. There will be absolutely nothing I will do to resolve her made up issue.
4) If the BBB would like to come down and observe our business practices or would like to talk to the three witnesses that heard her state that the last three Pawnshops told her the same thing, please reach out.
Otherwise, I consider this matter closed and will not be extorted into doing what she wants because of the threat of a false rating with the BBB.
Sincerely,
Owner, Sooner State Pawn
