      We have been trying to get resolution about an $145+$35.76 late-fee = $180.76 charge by **** repair who says that the control wires were cut by (suggested by Cherrywood) lawncare company. Cherrywood has only given us the run around and said that, "We're in meetings all week and can't talk" but continues to have people call about the unjust fine. We didn't install the **** system and if a wire can be cut simply by cutting the grass - then it was installed improperly. We've had to incur $500+ in hotel costs due to the extreme heat from this Summer (this issue and another **** repair). There have been other repairs/installations done on this premise without proper city permits and believe these should also be investigated for violations and safety.

      Cherrywood ******************* team has acted timely and appropriately to all maintenance requests. When signing the lease with Cherrywood the tenant agreed to maintain the lawn and regularly replace the air filters (every 2 months). The tenant requested a maintenance service as the **** unit was not performing as expected. Upon arrival the property manager inspected the unit and filters and found that in the 10+ months the tenant has occupied the home the air filters had never been changed and were filled with pet hair. The property manager changed the air filters, and the unit began performing as expected.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The company admits that they recommended the service that they also admit damaged the unit.  The idea of electrical equipment installation is a regulated industry such as to protect against non-normal conditions.  It was their recommendation service that damaged the unit and believing it was the tenants fault for the faulty initial installation is embarrassing on their part.  To not address promptly when the tenant and others are trying to call and resolve the issue (but, instead, being 'pushed aside' and told just to pay it and "take it up with the lawn guy" or we'll 'ruin your credit' is irresponsible and bullying).  We would like to discuss with the city, inspector, and others not only this issue but others (and the required proper permits and city inspection) and not be dismissed & neglected by the property owners.

      As the guarantor of the lease (not residing in the home), were you aware of neglecting to maintain the lawn? The grass was over halfway up the condenser and should have been regularly mowed. Cutting a thermostat line is a common **** issue when surrounding area is not maintained properly. Further, recommending service is not indicative of fault. Should the tenant have mowed or hired another service, the party responsible for lawn maintenance would be responsible for any damage from said lawn care. Services for lawn maintenance were arranged and paid for by the tenant. I also want to call attention to the previous issue mentioned in the complaint, which started the **** issues. Please see attached picture of the air filter not replaced since the tenant occupied the home. This could have led to serious **** issues due to the neglect of the tenant but was mitigated by prompt action from the Cherrywood ******************* team. Please refer to the lease for obligations on home and property maintenance. Cherrywood did not make any claims of credit impact, and any recuperation of money paid should be taken up with the tenant and service provider.       We are having a problem receiving our security deposit back. There have been a number of problems with this business throughout and after out rental lease. If needed we can provide documentation and proof of our case. Cherrywood is refusing to refund a portion of our security deposit due to: - House cleaning fee $100 (We left the house spotless, and is documented)- Replace dirty air filter $25 (We had to change the air filter on a monthly basis)- Replace curtain panels x16 $368.72 - $23.05 per panel (We purchased all of these curtains and the house was not furnished with curtains. We have documentation - videos and pictures - of this)- Replace curtain rods x4 $279.96 - $69.99 per rod ****** was only 1 curtain rod when we arrived. Not valued at $69.99. We purchased all the others. This is also documented)- Front bedroom closet inserts $137 (They advertised it as a 3 bedroom with a closet. When we arrived on our move in date this shelving unit was in the kitchen, on the floor and broken. Which made this house a 2 bedroom home - we also have pictures)In addition to the above. The insulation of the home is inadequate. There are broken windows throughout the home (none of the windows opened in the home) and during the winter and summer months the A/C and heat are running constantly to achieve 64 degrees in the winter and 78 degrees in the summer. I also had to pay an $8 cashiers check each month in addition to rent because their rental system is not functional. We are remote workers and the landlords showed up twice without a days notice as written in their contract. To add, the foundation of the of the home was sinking in the middle of the home and created a massive crack on the inside and outside of the home. Resulting in fear of the roof collapsing whenever we washed our clothes.
