*********************** owner and operator of heritage built construction was hired to do HVAC work in my property. a contract was signed between Heritage Built Construction and myself with details included replacement of all existing HVAC duct work and addition of ductwork to rear of home first and second floors including downstairs family room x2 vents(or more if needed), upstairs bedroom x2 vents(or more if needed), upstairs bathroom x1 vent(or more if needed, upstairs closet x1 vent(or more if needed), and any return vents needed to update all ductwork to ************* building code. total cost to include all labor and material. the time was to take 1 day to complete and agreement payment of $3200 once work was completed. ****** subcontracted a person to do the work agreed to. the work was not satisfied as duct was run in areas not agreed to including not replacing old duct but running all new ductwork through the house in various locations. I met with ****** after the work was performed to go over areas of concern. he assured his crew would come back to fix all the issues and ****** himself would repair areas of holes in floors and walls. I allowed the work to be repaired. after I inspected it a second time, the work was still not looking up to code and also the repairs ****** promised were not performed. I requested a permit be pulled and an inspector inspect the work. by agreement, I paid ****** a good faith payment of $1600 after he pulled a permit. the inspector rejected the work completed and also found out that the crew were not licensed HVAC contractors so he told them they needed to remove all the duct they installed and put the original duct and furnace into original working condition. ****** and his men agreed and did put it back to working original order. ****** agreed to return my payment made to him. he agreed on 5/17/23 but I have no received a refund yet.
