    Central Coast Emergency Physicians sent my account to collections. When I spoke to the Collection’s Agency, I explained I had never received a bill from Central Coast Emergency Physicians and was not aware I had a balance due. Had I received a statement, I would have paid it. I was told by Ann, the collection agency’s representative, I would need to contact Central Coast Emergency Physicians. I paid the amount due. I called Central Coast Emergency Physicians and was given an 800 phone number to speak to their billing department. I called the billing department phone number I was given and spoke with Juan. I explained the situation to Juan and voiced my dissatisfaction with the account being sent to collections. Juan looked into it and told me “the hospital (Twin Cities Hospital) hadn’t sent them all my information”, that’s why I didn’t receive any billing statements. I asked why the billing department hadn’t reached out to Twin Cities Hospital to get the missing information and if this was how they operate - in cases like mine just send it to collections. I didn’t get a response to my question. I requested a letter from them stating the information would not be reported to the credit bureaus. Juan said he couldn’t do that so I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold for 1/2 an hour, then disconnected. I called back a while later and spoke with supervisor, Fernando C., and explained my story and again requested a written statement re: not to be reported to credit bureaus. Fernando said he would email the collection agency and I could expect a written response from them in 3-4 weeks. I asked if his company was listed with the BBB and that I would be filing a complaint I am seeking a written apology from Central Coast Emergency Physicians. I would also like to see the amount I paid be reimbursed for the stress they have caused me. I give Central Coast Emergency Physicians 0 stars, but was forced to put a star to submit review.
