On September 7th 2023 I booked an appointment with Alayde Styles via her online booking site as I have done is the past. I the. Reached out to her after booking my appointment for October 13th 2023, I texted stating that I saw a deposit was required ($250) but there was no where listed to send it to on her site. I did not hear back from her until The week of my appointment on October 9th 2023, she stated a deposit was required in order for her to order the ************ to complete my service, I explained I reached out to her previously and Id be happy to send my deposit if shed let me know where. I then proceeded to send a message stating that I seen she had not posted on her instagram in a while and since she had son many appointments available on her site (which was unusual) I wanted to make sure she was still located and doing business in the *** area, she confirmed those details and I sent my deposit and she asked me to confirm the length of the hair I wanted which lead to me having to send an extra $25. She assured me she was ordering the hair and that everything would be good for my appointment. She texted on October 11th saying the hair would be here next week and could we reschedule, I told her that would not work for me as I was going on a trip and needed it done by the 13th, I then proceeded to ask if there was anything I could do and offered multiple solutions, None of these worked for her and after asking her why she placed the order without confirming a new date would work for me first or why she didnt confirm and lmk this was a possibility she told me she no longer does hair and was doing me a favor and couldnt do my hair bcs she is in ATL. She said I would get a refund after she cancelled the order and said it would take 3-5 business days I continued to check in with her and every time she pushed it back and now she has stopped responding and has not given me a refund and I have no way of getting my money back because I payed via Apple PayInitial Complaint

10/13/22 $550 Committed to provide a proper and safe hair installment per State Board guidelines Severe allergic reaction to a product used (1st degree chemical burn) Didn’t not ask to provide patch test and no intake form taken from me I reach out and let her know I went to the ER and I asked what glue she used also asked for a partial refund I was told it wasn’t her fault and it was no grounds for a partial refund and she is sorry She also mention it was the glue used in my last install which was 3 years ago . Every year a new intake form should be done . Because I’m not for sure what was actually used. ( I have to remove hair) I understand no refund but the lack of customer service provided to even properly resolve with a take down or a discounted future service . I now have multiple ER bills and a fever scar. Ashbmakeupartistry is what was used to book appointment
