The manager Howard H****** at MFA propane in Stilwell, OK was very hateful, rude, and unprofessional towards me. And he lied, saying that everytime they brought me propane they had to do leak checks because I was out. Which was not true. He said they will no longer bring me propane. Never gave me a chance or a warning just cut me off. So I called MFA propane cooperate office to file a complaint and they sent me thru to Howard's direct phone line. So unprofessional!!!

Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2022/06/16) */ We made the decision to discontinue service to this customer because she continually allows her tank to run out of propane, which is a major safety risk. Every time a propane tank runs out of fuel, national fire safety codes require a propane professional to conduct a leak check. Our staff has kindly informed the complainant of our policies and the need for her to call us with sufficient time to deliver propane before her tank runs empty many times in the past. Her failure to alert us before her tank runs empty, along with other issues, led to our unfortunate decision to refuse her service. The complainant owns her own propane tank and should be able to contact another propane provider to service her propane needs. We are sorry we can no longer service her account. Consumer Response /* (3000, 19, 2022/06/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Since my fiancé passed in May 18th, 2021 I had 2 or 3times in the fall that my tank was on 10-15 % but they came out Mike had came out and was nice about it and said he could tell by looking at the gage that I was not out and he had a guy shadowing him. Next time we needed propane the guy who shadowed Mike came out and my sons friend who was autistic met him before I got outside and ***** my sons friend was asking questions because he was excited about learning the job. Well that propane guy, I cannot remember his name was very rude and told me that my son was being rude and was quizing him on his job, I said that's not my son, and he's autistic and was excited about learning how to put propane in and all the things that go with it, I apologized for ***** he does know any better. So that propane guy went back to the office and lied to them and said that my son was grilling him and being rude. I found that out when I called to speak to the manager Howard who was so unprofessional and very rude and had been any time I spoke with him I was just hoping he may change but I was wrong. So I called the cooperate office thinking maybe they could help. We'll they sent to 2 different people which I got voice-mail. So I left a message and waited until the next day they never called so I tried back the next late afternoon because I figured that they were probably just busy the day before. So the lady sends me straight to Howard's phone number he answers and totally a different person. He then explains things and his voice was calm, I said thank u Howard that's all I needed was for you to be kind and take a minute to explain a little. Then I said the part about us having to have a leak check every time they come out is not true! It's only been 2 or 3 times since **** passed away, I said I understand how important it is to call when the tank is around 30 now and I don't know any other companies please could yall give me a chance. He said no also that my son was very rude. I said again that was not my son he is my sons friend who has autism and was very excited to learn about the job, he doesn't know any better again. Then Howard actually gave me a few names of companies that I can call. Business Response /* (4000, 23, 2022/07/01) */ MFA Oil reserves its right to refuse service to customers we deem to be a safety risk. Ms. ****** can search for other propane providers in her area at https://propane.com/where-to-buy/.
