On 3/09/2019 we purchased a 2018 Ram 3500 SLT pickup VIN# ***************** from My Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, ***********************************************. *************. At the time of purchase, we also purchased an extended Vehicle Protection Plan Contract # RCPVT00018153. We had the option to purchase either the Basic, Select, Deluxe, or Supreme Wrap Plan. We went with the Supreme Wrap Plan warranty that covered everything the Basic, *************** plan covered plus what the manufacturer's warranty did not. The Supreme Wrap policy coverage is for 84 mos/100,000 miles. On 9/30/2024, we brought our 2018 Ram 3500 SLT pickup VIN# *****************, with current mileage of ***** to ****-***** Motors, ************************************. Per the contract, since we are more than 50 miles away from our original dealership (My Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, ***********************************************. ************* we should seek repairs at the closest repair shop to avoid further damage. The vehicle was brought in for an oil leak on the timing belt/chain cover. Upon further investigation from the repair facility it was determined that the gasket and seal was leaking on the timing cover and would need to be repaired/replaced.A claim was filed with Old Republic Insured Automotive Services (ORIAS), **********************************, Tulsa, OK 74133-4352, ************, Contract # RCPVT0001815 at which time ORIAS denied the claim. Upon further dispute/investigation they continue to deny the claim. As we were without a vehicle we needed this vehicle to be fixed. ORIAS continues to state this is not a covered expense even though the contract states SEALS AND GASKETS COVERAGE: Seals and gaskets Coverage is provided with the Select Plan, Deluxe ************** Plan for all parts listed in the above named component groups. (Contract Page 7-9 TVP2-VSC-E-STD 11/16)Based on the registration ************* we believe this should be a covered ************* cost of repair is $3279.46Initial Complaint

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/31) */ The customer's Vehicle Warranty Policy is cancellable only within 30 days of issuance. The policy was purchased on 9/29/2021; therefore, no refund is allowed under the terms of the contract. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/11/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The response wasn't satisfactory as I wasn't informed of any of this from dealership that purchased the warranty they included it in the purchase price without asking if id like to purchase extended warranty. Why would a business get to keep unused portion of money of approximately $1,800 for a vehicle i sold 12 months after i paid $2500 on warranty absolutely ridiculous talk about greedy corporations. I'll fight this issue till I get my money returned. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/11/10) */ The selling dealership, Fort Motors, provided a copy of Ms. ******'s signed Non-Cancelable Vehicle Warranty Policy. However, in an effort to resolve this complaint and provide customer satisfaction, we have processed a pro-rata refund. Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2022/11/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Initial Complaint

A customer of mine, I own an automotive repair shop, she is also a friend of mine. She purchased the extended warranty through the dealership she bought the car from. About a year after her purchase, the engine had some internal failures and needed a new engine. She kept all the maintenance records for everything she had done since the purchase. So we filed a claim on June 1st of 2022. This company does not care about their clients. The vehicle finally left my shop on 10-14-2022. They refused to cover every one of my invoices I sent them. They were making their own prices and telling me what they were going to pay. The refused to cover the shop supply fee of $25, the hazardous waste disposal fee that was $50, mind you, I now have an engine that's trash just sitting in my shop now. They refused to pay the storage fee that I could have charged $25 a day for, but only. Charged them $600. They refused the engine that I quoted and sent me a used engine without me ever approving it. The claims adjuster hung up on me so then the supervisor called to apologize for his employee and to contact him from now on. He didn't reply to a single email that I sent. They even hung up on the customer when she called to figure out what was going on. At one point there was 3 people in the emails but only 1 person would say anything if anyone said anything at all. Then they sent me a motor that had a hole in the intake manifold, cracked exhaust manifold and a hole in the oil pan. Sent pictures, descriptions and invoices for each item for supplemental expenses. They sent payment for the 1st invoice and then when I ask about the other 2 invoices, I get sent to a completely different person and apparently the other 3 employees I sent the emails to didn't send him the other two emails. Now saying they have to send another inspector out to verify the damages on the motor that they sent me. Worst experience of my life just trying to communicate with these people, they are nothing crooks & a scamInitial Complaint

02 Aug 2022 I purchased a 2017 Ram 3500 from a used car dealership in Langley BC as well as an Ultra M.V.P. (Motor Vehicle Protection) Plan from Old Republic Insurance Company. I began the drive home to Ontario in the vehicle and on 03 Aug 2022 the vehicle experienced engine trouble and had to be towed to a repair facility. The issue was determined by a Dodge dealership to be engine failure from failure of an internal part (grid heater) in the intake manifold. I filed a claim under the comprehensive warranty from Old Republic and was informed the vehicle engine replacement was not covered by failure of that internal part as it is not "internal" enough. The part (engine grid heater) is not indicated as being an exemption from coverage in the contract, and intake manifold is indicated as a covered part. I have spoken to 4 different claims adjusters - all were insistent that the coverage is denied. However, 3 of the 4 did not demonstrate even rudimentary knowledge of the concerned part of the motor, one even claimed the issue was a block heater and not a grid heater -a gross lack of concern or knowledge even after 2 third party investigators were allowed access to the truck to determine the cause of the failure. The unanimous denial response to the claim even when the wrong information is present is indicative of an attitude that does not seek to provide any sort of warranty protection when a failure does actually occur. In all cases the only option given by the company has been outright denial and evasion of any contract interpretation that would lead to repair, even when speaking to a Claims Supervisor with a proper understanding of the concerned engine system. I find the claim made by Old Republic that this is a protection plan of the engine, transmission and other vehicle components to be a misrepresentation at best.
