Kitchen Concepts (KC) has strung out a less than 800 ft Kitchen Remodel to more than 9 months and counting despite multiple missed promised deadlines. My kitchen sink is off center with the window. I did not consent to this outcome. I paid an uncharge for the sink I purchased. They have not installed the drain and stop that goes with my upgraded sink. It has been 2 months, since install. I have a range/oven delivered to me with buyer listed as KC and my range does not work. It has not worked properly since delivery more than 2 months ago. KC signed for the delivery of the appliances and installed them and now tells me to take it up with the appliance retailer. I have broken and stained new tiles on the floor that KC has been notified of more than 4 months ago and has not fixed. KC owner and managers would enter my home without calling or knocking despite multiple requests to stop doing this. KC has listed a final bill with more than $7000 in charges never heard of or consented to. My dishwasher is not installed properly. It is sticking out and crooked. I was told weeks ago this would be fixed and it has not been. The painting is a sloppy mess with splattered and dropped paint tracked all over my porch, driveway and back patio. The paint does not clean off the concrete and looks terrible. Kitchen Concepts is DENYING they even did this despite multiple photos on the date of occurrence. Paint drops are splattered on new kitchen cabinets. Painters did not paint the trim or doors in one of two halls. Painters also painted over old screws. bolts and phone jacks instead of removing them. This is not resolved. Kitchen Concepts hired a dumpster to be emptied. This was done right next to my parked car in the driveway and part of the contents were dropped on my car damaging the paint. This was reported with pictures to Kitchen Concepts in March, after no action, and I provided an estimate for repair in June. Kitchen Conceptsstill not giving details need

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/30) */ the original kitchen is 900 feet we ended up painting living room doing floors etc. She has cussed out my designers and called my people idiots, She told me to get the f@#$ out of her house she owes a balance of over 9K and we did a walk through and she was fine then she started sending us pictures of paint splatter. We went over and took care of it. The problem is nobody wants to work for her! She bought the range from Hahn appliances. I am planning on putting a lien on her house, my painters say its old paint not from us. Please call to discuss Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Typical dismissal of complaints. 50% of remodel was paid for in December and promised to be completed before April 17th. This deadline wasn't even attempted to be met. Kitchen still completely demolished through April. Then Jim promised to finish by first week of June. They installed a cracked granite island, tile the wrong direction, the wrong kitchen sink and faucet and then blamed me for the delay in completion. They also chose the color of tile grout for both the floor and backsplash without asking me ( same with paint finish) The owners and managers then promised to have everything repaired in a week. That spanned out to a month with the most absurd behaviors in painting preparation and sloppiness. On July 26, I asked for the manager to schedule a walk through with me to look at what needed be corrected or was left undone. He did not come until August 17th. On that day I did show him things needing repair AND he took pictures and sent the painters out to clean up some paint mess on my patio on 8/18, which they made much worse. Jim M**** is a liar. Different contractors that came out, would tell me how badly Jim would speak about me to them before they came out as a way to dismiss any actual complaint I have had. 2 different sets of contractors told me this. The plumber they sent flooded my kitchen and new cabinets and Kitchen concepts would not respond to this other than "if anyone from water remediation touched anything it would nullify all warranty". I have not cursed out his staff. I have said That is another lie. I did record interactions and meetings with them showcasing their bad behavior and lies which they did not appreciate and pretended to be outraged over me recording the conversations.I also made it a point to have witnesses during any known meetings after the broken and glued back granite was attempted with my island in June. Just like their response here was personalized and attacking and did not address the issues listed ((damaged patio damaged car, incomplete work, poor work over billing, charging without consent off center sink.. So have been the interactions with me in person not focused on issue resolve but lots of character attack and intimidation .I have a lot of video and photos of the owner and managers and their unprofessional interactions with me. I did tell Jim to get the fvck out of my house and when he was standing over me and yelling. AND he said NO I won't. And he did not leave. This was witnessed by the electrician working in the background. This was typical harassing and abusive behavior by Jim and his cronies instead of being accountable for lying, massive errors, attempts to cover and install broken material. He has also refused to answer any of my questions about needed city permits. None were applied for with my remodel, yet mechanical, plumbing and conversion from electric to gas occurred. Manager told me not to ask about permits or the city would tear up everything and I would have to pay for all the repairs and it would delay any completion. If I could upload video of Jim M**** yelling at me in my house, I would. Glad I have so much documentation in writing, text, photo and video. My range doesn't work likely from mishandling during the install by Kitchen Concepts as a sensor was already damaged. I feel like uploading random photos without explanation is difficult. But the first is the " cleaned up" version is of my back patio from painters sent by Kitchen Concepts/ manager, Mark, on 8/18 after meeting with him 8/17.. this clean up ordered by kitchen concepts that Jim M**** boldly lied and denied responsibility for in his written reply here. The lying and gaslighting with them is unreal. Yep. I'm a very unhappy customer with lists of legally binding evidence of bad work, damaged materials, harassing interactions and owners/ managers contradicting themselves as was done in the reply to my complaint. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/10/05) */ see attached for documents provided by the business Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2022/10/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The only things that have changed since my original report on 8/27 was a rogue meeting, where the owner of Kitchen Concepts, Jim M****, came into my house with 4 other contractors of his to look at what needed to be repaired in my house and Jim M**** also said multiple times in front of these contractors in this meeting, that he was going to file a lien on my house. This was on 9/1/22 He had zero plans to fix the off center placement of my kitchen sink and in fact tried to say that I wanted it that way. He offered nothing to clean up paint mess or the unfinished paint work. I finally just had to point blank ask them to leave the house. I did not receive an invoice from Kitchen Concepts until 8/17, and that was brought in person by project manager, Mark, When Mark was here, I went through the house showing him things that still needed to be addressed and he took pictures. In fact, the next day, 8/18, Mark sent out painters to clean up the paint mess left on my back porch and patio and they began to address the dishwasher installed crooked and the hardware/drain for my sink that was never installed. The paint mess was not cleaned up and in fact, made worse. Kitchen Concepts is denying this. It is clearly documented in text. Jim M**** did not show any motivation to finish anything, until I made a report to the Better Business Bureau on 8/27/22. (Then he was here 9/1 with a group.) So.. My first payment, which started this contract with Kitchen Concepts was on December 2, 2021 with a completion date before April 17th 2022 promised. The last discussion with Jim M**** was on 9/1/2022 and that was regarding unfinished and substandard work. I went without any type of working kitchen until the second week of July, when the contact started December 2, 2001. We had many discussions and there were so many errors mentioned before like: Installed cracked granite, installing back splash tiles the wrong direction, installing the wrong kitchen sink, installing the wrong hardware, painting and grouting without asking for my choice on paint finish or color of grout for backsplash or kitchen floor. I had no input on the design of the kitchen island and drawers. So interesting to me, they were over completion date promised by 4 months, gave me a final invoice on 8/17/22 and then completed more work 8/18/22.. yet I have now received a letter from Enlow Law dated 9/21/22 (not even a month after being invoiced, informing me of a pre-lien notice by Kitchen Concepts.). As stated before, I can't even relay how much I was harassed and treated in a humiliating way by Jim M****. Kitchen Concepts refused to give me notice of when contractors were coming to my home. This was consistent over the entire duration. When Jim M****, Hannah or Mark, the "project managers" came to my house, they consistently just walked into my house without knocking. I mentioned this to them several times and they continued to do this. This was also witnessed by others in my home. I had multiple contractors tell me how badly Jim M**** was talking about me, telling all the contractors I was crazy. There were several times that Jim M**** came into my home, raised his voice to me and when I not nicely told him to leave, he refused to leave my home. Those was also witnessed, by an electrical contractor. There were many of these type interactions with outrageous behavior from the owner and managers. Somehow, I was blamed for every error, delay or shortage of labor that occurred during the remodel. I have paid Jim M****/ Kitchen Concepts.. above and beyond our contract, to date. My payments have been as followed: 12/3/21 Paid 15,000.00 12/3/21 Paid 6639.71 (That was 50% down, per contract) 3/28/22 I paid 3586.27, this was over payment for an entry way hard wood floor refinish that was not in the original budget/estimate. The actual cost billed to me ended up being 595.0, I did not want the e=ntire project done that was initially bid.. Jim M**** is trying to again bill me for this, when it was aleady overpaid by me by 3000.00 I also paid up charges directly to Heatwave Supply and Emco in March of 2022, when they were over the budgeted amount. I paid Hahn Appliance directly for all my kitchen appliances. Hannah, project manager from Kitchen Concepts was present at the time of all these payments to these external contractors and was present and guided the decision making with my choices. My kitchen remodel had still not been started at this time, 3 months after having to pay 1/2 down to start the contract. 4/13 Paid 10,000.00 4/13 paid 9475.73 Total payment to Kitchen Concepts to date is 44, 701. 71. I again want to point out this is a 900 square ft kitchen. Per our contract, the entire cost of this project was to be a total of 43, 279.42 So, per this estimate I have already over paid by 1422.29. Per Kitchen Concepts contract, the last "5%" was to be paid upon project completion. ( It is debatable that this has even been finished yet. I can provide so much detail and pictures on this. ) I still have a paint mess and an off center kitchen sink .. and unpainted trim in the hallway.) Per their contract that we entered on 12/3/2021, the remaining 5%, I would have needed to pay at project completion was 2545.08.. and paying this amount would have finished the total amount owed per contract of 43,279.42, which I mentioned earlier, I have already over paid them this amount over that total + 1422.29 But on 8/17/2022, when I was given the final invoice in person, by Mark, project manager, there were a total of 9067.49 additional charges that were NEVER mentioned or consented by me. They have nothing verbally or in writing to show any communication of or agreement for these charges. It was all a big suprise to me and I think in part just foul play by the owner. It is obvious that I paid over charges when informed, as the contract went along. Over charges I was advised of were paid directly to Kitchen Concepts and vendors involved on the date I was told of the charges. And I paid on time per contract just as agreed on.. in fact, over paid . The only things I verbally agreed to which were not part of our original contract, was I agreed to pay 800.00 over budget for painters to paint my living area walls and trim. Kitchen Concepts was already painting the ceiling in that room, as part of the kitchen remodel. So, I asked to expand that part to include walls and trim. Additionally, in painting the ceiling for that living area, I wanted an old fan and an old light fixture and their switches to be removed, instead of just painted over. I spoke directly to the electrician and to Jim M**** on this up charge and was told it would be 280.00 this is not at all what he put on the final bill. I can dispute every item with evidence on the final bill. Additionally, Jim M**** owes me for the damage to my car for an incident that happened on March 16th with his vendor who attempted to move an over full dumpster, parked next to my BMW in my driveway. This guy dropped debris on my car which scratched the paint. I immediate notified Jim M**** and took photos of the damage and sent them to him and asked how to proceed. He said ambiguous things like..they will take care of it.. it will be taken care of, whenever I asked about this in the 3 months that followed. He did not ask me anything. So, on June 7 th I took the time and got a repair estimate from Bill Knight Collision of needed a car rental for 3-5 days during the repair and an estimated repair cost of 743.41 I provided this information to Jim, who refused to offer any details or avenue for my car repair. . This estimate, of course, will have to be redone as now it is 4 months old. When I mentioned this to Jim M**** in the group meeting he brought over here on 9/1/22, he told me he was not going to pay for it because I owed him money. I can send any photos, email correspondence and with guidance, text messages that occurred between Kitchen Concepts and myself, payments etc. if you are interested. The photos detail all kinds of problems during the remodel and then remaining issues that have still have not been addressed. Kitchen Concepts has not proposed any resolution, just more lies, unprofessionalism and intimidation tactics. Thank you,
