I was alone & concerned about my safety in this situation.Paid $100 deposit and $595 cash. Checked in May 28th, First night there was multiple people gathering in the area behind and in between my RV and the ********. My two dogs would start barking each time and we got very little sleep. I called the office the next evening letting them know I needed to discuss moving to another location because of this. They were willing to handle this and did the next day. That night was a recurrence of the previous. This time I opened a window and recorded the discussion about buying something and the cost. This recording is at 11:39 pm. I turned on all the lights and they left. I put on my house coat and proceeded to disconnect the *** moved to their late-arrival spots by the office. By 7am, all of my outdoor items were taken from the site and the business security cameras could not determine the culprits. Exact same issues the next night as well as a late night visitor asking me for money. High amount of homeless foot traffic at night. I replied by email that I would like a refund and to leave in the morning. I confirmed with the front office that my letter was rcvd and was told "yes, I'm working on getting it for you but you paid cash and we don't keep that on hand." She was awaiting the owners. I did not move my RV until I was sure a refund was expected. When I returned later, they refused a refund and also would not allow me to return. I was told I had checked out and could not return and there was a no-refund policy, which I was not aware of (small print) and the opposite of the front office communication before leaving the site.

      Business response

      07/03/2024

**************** stayed at Mingo RV Park from May 28th to June 1st. She did contact our office and advised that she wanted to move to a different location. I asked her if there was an issue in the current spot she was in, and her response was just "there is alot of traffic outside the **** **************** was close to the dog park, so this was not unusual behavior. The following morning when the office opened at 8:00 am, she had already pulled her RV out of the lot in the middle of the night, and moved it to the temporary parking, but left all her outside belongings on the original lot. She demanded we find her a new spot, and also let us know that sometime in the night her items were stolen from the lot. We accommodated her request and let her choose the lot she went to. Unfortunately, we were not able to see who or where her missing items went, as it was out of view from the security cameras. The following morning, I came into the office and had an email simply stating "I am leaving today. I would like a refund." Mingo RV Park policy is no refunds. It is posted in the front desk area, on the website, and in the rules and regulations that **************** signed at the time of her arrival. I have attached a copy of the rules that she signed. She came in to check on the refund and I told her I would need to talk to management and ask, that I was unable to approve that for her. I also advised her that if it was approved, the 4 nights she stayed, as well as a $25 processing fee would be deducted from the total. At this time, she stated that if I would just refund her the full amount she "wouldn't leave a negative ****** review". I advised her I would let her know when management came in, if her request was approved. Management did not approve the request, and **************** became very hostile, calling the police saying we stole her money, and refusing to leave. When **************** started making negative comments to my customers walking in, I told her to leave. At this point, she demanded a meeting with management and said she would be back. We have had no further contact with ****************.
